I think its despicable that someone from a so called "upper class" would dare call someone an "unmotivated leech" while she herself enjoys the luxuries of wealth and social status that she herself did not earn. Low income earners (like the one who wrote in his blog) are what societies and cities run on. Without them, who would take the lowest paying jobs - such as sweeping the streets or dishwashing... Society itself simply would not function. So next time when Wee decides to lecture someone else with her "elite and uncaring face", she'd better start cleaning the streets herself.

Do we really have leaders?
Or, are they more business-like profiteers without any moral
obligation and the willingness to take responsiblity for their
failures/mistakes?

I dont think reduction of the income gap is a priority, because minister's pay is once again being revised upwards. That is why there is no civic duty/volunteerism in Singapore.

Singapore leaders don't lead by any form of reasonable example. Its going to be hard to be a Singaporean leader in the age of the internet.
