I do not think the government should be giving handouts to lazy and irresponsible folks, but I do think that the government should help those who help themselves instead of forcing the rest of the citizenry to do the job for them. I don&#8217;t see why the government should not adopt the welfare state model for those who live way beyond expectation. All it takes is for the planning to start now (see Leong Sze Hian&#8217;s estimates in his article on The Online Citizen). [...]</description>

Government should promote healthy living, filial piety and implement reformative measures in hospitals, prison, old folk homes etc.
Hospitals, prisons, drug addict centres, old folk homes etc should provide compulsory vegetarain food.</description>
