As King Loong-nidas shouted,"THIS IS SINGAPORE"...... Kicking all the citizens who are unfortunate enough to be born in this land, in the hole...(Remember that scene??)

Stop all this analysis and Vote with your head, my Singaporeans.....

By complaining all the time and still voting them in again and again. You have basically signed the blank check for them to screw you in the ass again and again.

My only question to all of you is this, despite all the propaganda about opposition parties destroy your lives....my point being if you are suffering now as a result of all this policies, then how much worst can the so called "incompetent opposition" make it???

Worst case scenario, the opposition takes control and goes crazy and thus, they makes "honest mistakes", produce messy data, retract statements, introduce means testing, increase GST, hike bus fares, give themselves massive salary hikes etc..... I dun know....you guys decide.

Good luck people..... I am out of this place.

as I grow old, can I disown my 3 sons so that I need not burden them with the debt of my hospital fees? It is scary that the govt says there are subsidies, but need to wait 3-4 months for an appointment if we are in C ward, but need to pay pte fees to get an immediate appointment. LHL said something about hippocratic oath for Myanmar generals? - full of crap....no money no oath lah..

<a href="http://www.hpm.org/en/Surveys/University_of_Singapore/09/Reduced_hospital_subsidy_for_non-citizens.html#Headline3" rel="nofollow">Reduced hospital subsidy for non-citizens.</a>

Political and economic background

Singapore has a population of 4.2 million, of which 1 in 4 is not a citizen. There are two categories of non-citizen residents: Permanent Residents (PRs) and other foreigners, including foreign workers. Currently all residents, regardless of citizenship status, receive the same healthcare subsidies at public sector healthcare institutions ranging from 20 to 80 per cent.

In 2006, Singapore hospitals saw:

about 10,000 PRs and 10,000 foreign in-patients in Class B2 and C wards, or 9 percent of total subsidised admissions;
about 4,000 PRs and 3,000 foreign patients registered for subsidised day surgery, or 7 percent of total subsidised day surgeries; and
about 82,000 PR cases and 60,000 foreign cases for subsidised specialist out-patient clinic treatment (SOC), or 7 percent of total subsidised SOC workload.
The new move to differentially charge non-citizens is expected to free up about S$36 million (ca. €17.5 million) a year, which the government said will be ploughed back for financing citizens' care such as elderly care.
