'They are prepared to join the WP, prepared to lose. This is the spirit' - Workers’ Party Secretary-General Mr Low Thia Khiang.
Better then some 'you know who party' candidate that hide behind a group of mp to make it in parliment.kiasu to lose election.how can we depend on such mp ? just like a ship that has never went thru storm, we don't know if it will survive. no baptism of fire thru election. have more guts lah, go for one on one contest. As for the AWOL topic by LHL, who cares.

I am more concern with those that was elected into office than those not elected into office.

Those PAP MPs are already treating MP job as part-time despite getting SGD 14,000 a month as MP while concentrating on their own full time jobs to gather job experience.

It is clear these PAP MPs will want to use this private sector job experience when they quit MP jobs in future which was why they prefer to do MP part time.

If elected MPs can continue working in other jobs, why not non-elected people who still need to gain income and feed family ??

Why did not the Media compare and contrast thoroughly ??

I do not see anything wrong with non-elected people getting jobs elsewhere because they have no business to be in Singapore for now.

I remember PAP MP Andy Gan was defeated twice by Chiam See Tong before becoming MP backdoor through Marine Parade GRC via SM Goh. He quit after just one term. Many other PAP MPs quit only just one term.

This action was worse than non-elected people finding jobs elsewhere.

Besides, PM Lee's own GRC line up was different from GE 2001 and GE 2006. Is this consider AWOL as well ?? So are many other line ups in other PAP GRCs.

Common use of distraction tactics by politicians all over the world but to be used by our world-class leaders really irks me a lot.

When they have to score cheap political points, what does it imply? I'm guessing they have run out of solutions to real problems and needs some smoke to cover their tracks and plan for their next move.
