Someone should remind the Home Affairs minister that he himself once famously said:
“The PAP Government has always thrived on its ability to anticipate problems.”
- Wong Kan Seng
They can be reminded thousand and one times about what they have said, but they will have ten thousand reasons to tell you that they are above everything. With absolute power in their hands, they can even tell you nonsences!
I agree that politicians are as dangerous or more so than terrorist. I myself am caught in a political web, better known as a union dispute. My life has been made a hell from 2003 and it still continues. It , meaning stalked, harassed, assaulted, property damaged, and there is no one I can go to for help as the police are dictated to by the regime of unions. I have taken every avenue to file a complaint. Family members are in the dispute for the money. I have become so depressed about the situation that life has no meaning. I am only one person who did not instigate this situation. My family saw an oppourtunity to make a quick buck, so my life was placed on the auction block, chain and all. I can not get a job without peers getting involved, and endangering my life. I am now trying to find a way to escape the united states, in order to find peace. Hopefully, some place that does not have unions. Just honest government. Which is a joke in itself.
If Mas Selamat, being an unmasked terrorist with plans to bomb Changi Airport, poses no imminent danger; then I think it is also safe for political fugitives like Francis Seow and Tan Liang Hong to be allowed to return home. What else can be more dangerous than an escaped terrorist?
Oh I see. Mas Selamat does not pose a danger to the ruling elites more than he is to the mass population, should he decide to return to bomb a building or two; whereas, political fugitives pose a direct threat to the political survival of the PAP?
