The PAP shouldnt even be using government money for indiscriminate party purposes in the first place! Here in this article , LHL seems to make it sound like a normal thing to do. ” we have the resources.”

It speaks volumes about the PAP’s philosophy regarding the their exclusive and sovereign ownership of public money. Accountable stewardship , not ownership mr PM!

I am increasingly amused and amazed by the statements made by LHL. It is a startling display of ignorance and lack of connection with the real world and the people living in it. If this is the kind of quality we are getting for a S$3.76 Million p.a. prime minister, then I fear the worse for Singapore’s future.

Yes i agree with him on one thing for sure, that the current ministers and MP’s are not only not up to mark but also should be voted out.

This is my justification, trying to control and paint everything in your favor does not gel well with public opinion or image.

I think the elites are out of touch and they are living in a world of make believe.

Passion drives people to make videos that millions will agree with.

But thinking that people who donated money are gonna come back and haunt you later for favors ??

It makes me wonder if this is the current mode of how things have been working so far ?

Well, then I think we should not accept the progress package then….

In a nutshell, if the govt don’t wake up to the call of the internet, we will certainly see a drastic change.

soon you will see some kind of restriction or BAN on websites that contain content that is not in their favor.

I was once told, serve the people and never yourself first.

Once again, our multi-million-salary-paid PM Lee has made himself a fool again. How can online campaigning be more expensive than physical campaigning? So sad to realise that after all the education and National Service experiences, all his white hair grows without a sense of purpose. I think his father should teach him how to give a better public speech next time, if any.

The amount was donated over the net, within a specific time period. I wonder how the donors attach their specific ‘conditions’ when they made their ‘political’ donations… I really do.
Do people who donate a few bucks attach conditions in the first place?

The latest article “Free Press Vital to Singapore’s survival” brings out the rational behind our PM’s recent utterance. Lets not forget that when the old man came into power the first thing he did was to take control of the newspaper and later television. This was not only to ensure that we do not see a repeat of racial riots and union riots fueled by the media but is was also to ensure that the media becomes a government mouthpiece which eventually would ensure the strangle hold of the ruling party. This has been proven without doubt.

However, the present times has thrown up new challenges. The new media needs to be controlled and for the same reasons the old man did but more so for the second reason. The Malaysian elections have proven the power of the internet and the ongoing debates and points raised in the internet have questioned the governments actions, Surprisingly answers have not been forthcoming and the level of argument put forward must have taken the MIW by surprise. So he is just hedging before the clamp down starts and like the old man he might have to thriw the sedition act if nothing else works.
