Dear Unfair and cowardly,

It is everyone’s right, including yours to write here but please refrain from calling names. I for one believes that everyone should write as a contribution to our country. We should always use “the pen before the sword” and we must write or speak out before things get too bad to be resolved by writing and speaking. In this age of the internet and our literacy not writing will be almost a neglect of citizenry duty

I think the comment and reference to “The most infamous being Ivan Baptist -the ‘did nothing but chope seat’ Case president.” by the poster George is not only a barefaced lie but a cowardly one at that.

I knew Ivan Baptist – in many ways he was a principled man of the workers – and he did what he could tirelessly and far more than what he was paid to keep the cause of the consumer going. At the end of the day, funding was a problem – the government gave a small grant but that was about it. To say that he was nothing more than a seatwarmer shows your ignorance at the attempt and establishment of literature explaining consumer’s rights, the radio talks and advice that was constantly given out to the general public.

Finally, let me add that all these criticisms of Case being a toothless tiger, a government orchestra paid to call the tunes blah blah blah – we get the governments we deserve and vote for. If you have a problem with it, then get off your “choped” seat and do something George. Don’t be a backseat critic. Or at least have the courage to pick on people who are alive and can defend themselves.

whatever so called independent party or watchdog organizations in SG are only for show to let the world into believing that SG is truly a democratic country, they are all the one and the same party manipulated by our ruling party all these years, so even think that you people in SG can rely on any of these organization to back you up and justify your claims especially in price hikes, don’t you people understand who is behind all these?

It is intended this way.

An independent Case will become a consumers’ advocate that may even challenge the govt. That’s way, throughout the history of Case, its been ‘ruled’ by govt MPs. The most infamous being Ivan Baptist -the ‘did nothing but chope seat’ Case president.

Just compare Case with advocates in the Us and Britain, for example. Like many many organisations that could prove to be a challenge to govt policies/actions, Case , like the unions are de-clawed and de-fanged and its leadership 100% obedient to the govt beck and call.

If one needs to go to CASE,
Be prepared to lose your case,

Just in case
CASE is not prepared to standby your case.

You must first be a member of CASE
In order to submit your case.
More interested in receiving member fees is CASE,
Than receiving and hearing any case.

So tell me whose case is CASE?
I think CASE should just be put in a showcase.
