To Let's be fair;

please do not belittle yourself, I am very sure that You are what You are(now) because of your own hardworks and of course Nature has endowed You.

If the System has made many many You, than I will agree the System has benefitted the people. Please look around and see how many You around and do kindly feed us back here, if You are willing to. I thank You in advance.

I can assure You that each and every Singaporean loves one thing and that is no need to complain, most are very sad when they have to.

I have not been really following up with the politics in Singapore. I know that striving for freedom of speech is a losing battle because not only are the Singaporeans comfortable with the way things are, they actually disapprove the actions taken by the brave ones who are doing it for the Singaporeans.

I wanted to comment because of all the blog written here, my FAVOURITE was by Daniel on September 8th, 2008 9.25 pm. I couldn't stop laughing when i read that. That was a hilarious way of putting it across Daniel. I doubt the programmed ones would still get it.

- Keep feed us rhetoric and increase minister's pay to $10 millions per year because we still be grateful and happy
- Increase NS to 5 years and reservist to 20 years because we still be grateful and happy
- Increase oil to $5 per litre because we still be grateful and happy

I am not a politician and certainly I am not a PAP supporter. What I do know is that if it is not for PAP Government, I would not be what I am today . I feel sorry for Gopalan Nair, Dr. Chee & Company....for having wasted time and money invested on their tertiary education....

If they are not happy and feel being suppressed.... I would suggest that they look for another "green pasture" to stay.....

This is so crazy. I am only a teenager and I can see the work of LKY. When I questioned my friends on this matter, they firmly objected and brought up LKY's bringing Singapore from a third world country to a first world country. They called me ungrateful. Everything I learn in Social Studies is propoganda. When I questioned my SS teacher about the government's rather pathetic comments about Mas Selamat's escape, she defended them as pathetically.

People like Gopalan Nair, Dr. Chee and J.B. Jeyarathnam are standing up for freedom and Singapore's future. Noone likes to be repressed or controlled. Noone likes to pushed around. Noone likes to be falsely accused. Noone likes to be kept away from the place they call home. Since this is so, why are there people still defending the government? Are Singaporeans so blind as to not see the control exerted by PAP? Can they not see the growing number of PRCs? Can they not see the poor old people working at 80, some collapsing from exertion? Can they not see that none of the articles in The Straits Times is against the government? Our president gets $3.7 million, 5 times more than President Bush does. Is that preventing corruption or just making things dandy for themselves? Furthermore, money should be put in to take care of its citizens. Just because our dear LKY can work at 80, doesn't mean the whole country can. Get a life, seriously. My apologies for straying away from the topic at hand. But before anyone looks at the case, one must look at the whole picture. Then, perhaps, we will see how people like Gopalan Nair are helping us.

I support Gopalan Nair fully even at my youthful age. I pray that justice will see him through. Justice has always reigned, not only in movies, but in real life. Anyone watched "The Last King of Scotland"? One of my favourite movies. Watch it. Singapore's got alot of potential. I have grown up here and it is familiar to me. I wouldn't like to see it end up like the country in the movie. It's a true story, by the way.

Sir Gopalan Nair,

You know something simple, that's the power of lies but,
I got a saying that's "something simple, can't be express simpler in constitution'.

I think your opinion may have flaws
on Singaporean, who still staying and

Why, Singaporean still want to lay on this useless pieces land, rather to flee to obtain their sucessful vision.

I think one way or other's still due to the traditional Singapore
Laws in few decades,
which is the
"2 child for 1 framily scheme"

that cause most Singaporean being old-aged population.

And those who already has family may also effect them from leaving.

so Lee invited more
Chinese may partly help to establish more fruits since soon
stem will rot.

I don't think is to maintain Chinese space rather just
that more China see opportunities at Singapore to gain more money, since they are communist community.

Those most commonly crime done by China citizen is probably prostitution, drug or hacker society which normally not a officially worker, they just leave when their jobs are done.

Lee just being boldness rather than being meticulous about everything since what come first have to be done.

The part I agree will mostly be Lee Kuan Yew have no intention to lead Singaporean rather treating Singapore as a business opportunities and soon Singapore will be abating.

-I agree he is tyrannic
and Belinda Ang is injustice.
and Singapore can be better if Lee can end their misdeeds.

This explain my Idea of ALL!!

Read this:

Not even Talking cock or Mr. Brown post such "Truthful" comments. And Gopalan is an immigration lawyer. What if a PRC Chinese tries to gain a US citizenship? Should they trust him?

Do you people really believe this? If you do, then as Gopi says, please protest.

Andrew Loh,
what LKY is stupidity at best. It just means that if one is oversea and write against the coffers, and then visit Singapore, he may be charged up to discretion of LKY, Law of Kuan Yew. What LKY did is created Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Now do he expect oversea Singaporean who write against the oppression will even want to come back ?

How about Woo Yen Yen and Colin Goh, the Singaporeans, who are the creator of TalkingCock.com and producer of the movie Singapore Dreaming
http://www.moviexclusive.com/article/sgdreaming/sgdreaming.htm

Isn't talkingcock.com make fun of government and Singapore and show contempt. Does that means that if they return to Singapore, they liable for arrest too ?

I think someone say financial crises miracle, you are referring to Singapore right?

Yes, the effect by lower labour cost did help, but they didn't refer to "individual"
and now consider the economy how can we have a tyrannical "ruler".

unconditional freedom and liberty, do you think we have?

I thinks we don't and just to be in case does "unconditional freedom and liberty" mean almost the same, I am quoting this from someone comments.

Last -

Lim, is' it right for me to presume that whether the penal code under sec 505 if applied at balance to rights is still a moot point?

So to be subtle, I would say that "neither groups can get a freedom unless both wouldn't want it to be a moot point..

Seriously us is not stirring trouble for Singapore, In other ways he helping us to get freedom from someone despite of conflict.

It not " In rome, one does what romans do", in Singapore is more like "One do, what lee want you to do".

I think gopi is not stirring trouble since court has not been ended, We should all know is we understand well aren’t we.

Gopi situation is like being forced and torture out from his habitats like a beast or prisoners and I don’t think that he has more American supporter than me ( fellow prisoner).

Gopi situation is always like a wolf stationing and waiting at Singapore to devours him.

Why?

As a teenagers I understood democracy in politics and human laws.

and I have awareness that our Singapore economy is marvelous but we aren’t getting what we deserve.

Get the point-

Maybe as a student we’re being quite good, but for a working adult we are being unfavorable than some comparable country, we’re not still earning by contribution.

Singapore is within top 20 richest country but why aren’t we getting one labour enlisted in Top 100 richest person so far..

Except lee kuan Yew getting the merits or being the richest Politican in the world.

I don’t want to get sue for being nuisance so I going to leave this country when I have enough savings.

Bye fellow mate!!

How swiftly they arrested and charged Nair right after Lee Kuan Yew saying in court that the govt will chase a lie even in cyberspace. They're even charging him for something he allegedly did 2 years ago!

Seems to me that there are some people tripping over themselves trying to impress the old man.

"Thinking about jurisdiction, is the charge against Gopalan Nair even legitimate in the first place?"

What do you think of kangaroo court where law can be changed as and when to their likings, after all typical Singaporean can't do anything brave to stop these.

"At first they wanted to charge him for something he wrote in an alleged email. When Nair denied sending the email, they now charge him for writing something insulting on his blog."

The world is watching how this kangaroo court lead by LKY is responding and it is pathetic that the court is behaving like baby kangaroo.

They wayang this case to distract Singaporeans from their anger with the pap government handling of the Mas Selamat Great Escape. They are using their pap gangsters to work up the racist fire in Singaporeans. This is very sad indeed that a government can indulge in such dangerous game.
