Equality… ?

In Quotes • 492 views • 14 Comments

It seems arbitrary to say that scholars should be allowed to disrupt their NS, but non-scholars already in undergraduate studies should not be allowed to defer their enlistment.

I am a little confused as I know of a few on local scholars who weren’t able to defer their NS. >,<

And some of these scholars will be accelerated to become the “paper generals”
It is easy to see the policies are formulated by scholars for scholars.
So much BullShit being propagated that it is slowly but surely drowning the ordinary citizens.

NS promotion is still based on paper, not experience. So those who don’t study hard & get those ‘toilet paper’ will be at losing end. (hen ta ka ki)!!!!

I think Siew needs to be corrected. It is not ‘arbitrary’.
It seems ELITIST to say that scholars should be allowed to disrupt their NS, but non-scholars already in undergraduate studies should not be allowed to defer their enlistment.

the essence of the scholarship is long lost. back then, scholarship are meant for the poor who are capable in their studies but can ill afford. today…we have the well off, MP kids, Minister kids taking up scholarship.
