Is it necessary for MPs to sit as heads of sports clubs or clan associations, religious or cultural associations that are outside their constituencies?

My view, this is planting the eye and ear in these organization to make sure there is no anti-pappy discussion ever appear on the table in board room discussions.

We should lobby for legislation that prohibits Heads of Associations etc from holding membership in a political party.

Well, the recent developments just goes to indicate how much time and effort is required to serve as a an MP. Lets not forget all of them have their full-time jobs. The PM says that the other remaining MPs can take over the work of a departed MP. Others have the time for all the sports and clan appointment. So why then do we need such huge GRC teams when the MPs really have so much time in their hand and are so handsomely paid.

84 MPs for tiny Singapore is just too many. Like one MP serves like 20 blocks of flats? Joke.

The even bigger joke (at our expense) is mayors. If the MPs are doing their work, why is there a need for them? So retired senior armed forces officers and PAP-friendly PLPs will have guaranteed jobs and keep quiet about things like White Horse?

Lets not forget all of them are on pensionable service. While the pension scheme has been abolished for the rest, these people keep the best for themselves. Such is the work of honourable men. Now we have people getting paid twice and even trice, salary, pension and director fees and people are struggling to pay their electricity bills and the government owned company just cuts off the supply. The easy way out , sell the power company to foriegners. Is it not funny than we are selling our local assets and buying foriegn ones. I guess that’s called moving the money out.

One should also question why the Division One Prime Minister needs quite a few Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Office to assist him in doing his job. I believe LHL has the distinction of having the most number of Ministers without Portfolio sitting in the Prime Minister’s Office. Is he that uncapable? Or is this how they pay their cronies large sums of money legally? By making them Ministers thereby allowing them to reap large salaries without having to do all that much heavy lifting? Call it anything they want to but it does not disguise the fact that this is legalised corruption. LKY and LHL just love to shout out to the world about how uncorrupt they and the PAP are. I look forward to the day they taste real justice and I certainly won’t be feeling sorry for them then.
