Goodby JBJ we shall miss a truly brave man who fought on behalf of the fearful.

The quote below is Nelson Mandela who in 1964, whilst already serving a 5 year sentence was charged under the Suppression of Communism Act and faced the death penalty.These are the final lines of his opening statement.

“I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony with equal opportunities. It is an idea which I hope to live to live for, and to see realized. But my lord, if needs be , it is an idea for which I am prepared to die.”

There were only two true ‘Politicians ‘in Singapore .One made politics for himself and one made it for everyone else.Mr JB JAYERATNAM was for everyone else.
I followed him in every elections.The man speaks for the people ,whose conviction in true democracy can be seen from the fire in his eyes.

Sadly many did not understand politics .Many singaporeans were selfcentred and it was everyman for himself.

This man I call should be addressed “THE TRUE FATHER OF SINGAPORE”
FOR HE CARED AND FOUGHT FOR THE PUBLIC.,NEVER DID HE TURN AND RUN WHEN THE ‘DOBERMANS’ WERE LET LOOSE.
MR JB JAYERATNAM WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS.WE WILL TEACH OUR CHILDRENS THE HISTORY HE HAS LEFT BEHIND.

JBJ’s 82 age really coincided with the expensive 82 MPs. But does $1.066 millions (82x $13,000 per month ) per month of taxmoney can even compete and command respect compared to a lone passionate and righteous man who always do the right thing. It is time these 82 MPs start to do the right thing rather than do the thing right to appease their dishonourable masters.

Farewell JBJ, may your soul rest with God and may all your years of tireless fighting for our rights return to God. It is time to take your well deserved rest and may God takes over this role and do what is necessary.

I thank God for sending you down to earth to do his purpose. Mr Kandasamy,

I share your sentiment. Do not lose heart with your fellow Singaporeans. I am sure Mr JBJ would have continued his crusade if he had only one, yes only Singaporean supporter…

To honour Mr JBJ, we should continue to spread his words, his belief to our off springs, our siblings, our friends… Just continue his work….

In a way, our JBJ is just like Ghandi, Sun Yet San…..

Sir, my dad was your admirer and knowing this, I had always bought the ‘Hammer’ and your books autographed by you for him. Dad told me of your greatness and I, through the years had seen it myself.

I cried when I heard of your departure. It was as though i lost my dad a second time. I was looking forward to support your new party as my dad and i did when you were at Cheng San…it was so close.

Singaporeans do not deserve to have you…it’s like “casting pearls before swine”.

I’m sure my dad is with you right now in the Lord’s chamber. Farewell, I miss you both. God bless.

As a Young Boy, I hear the name JB Jayeratnam during election rallies, As a teenager, I saw Mr JB Jayeratnam in his election rallies. He handed Workers Party magazine during his rounds to various markets. As an Adult, I voted for Mr JB Jayeratnam. Now that he is gone…… Sadness….. I don’t see anymore of a 2nd Mr JB Jayeratnam fighting bread & butter for Singaporean…..sad, there is no replacement for Mr JB Rayeratnam. My Deepest Condolences………… Till we meet again, in HEAVEN.

This is such sad news, my condolences go out to JBJ’s family. I hope they have the strength and fortitude to go on, and perhaps even finish their father’s good work!

JBJ will always remind me of the power of fighting for what one believes in, no matter how hopeless the situation, and to never stop fighting for what is right!

He will be remembered for his strength to believe, and his courage to hope!
