For the first time in its experience, it would seem that the powerful PAP government stands nonplussed before an adversary.

Such quotes tend to have a larger impact when the context in which it was said is revealed.
good exposure
May I add further to Catherine’s quote, that the powerful PAP government stands nonplussed, humiliated and exposed before the IBA. lol

Good exposure,
FTW lah!

33.4 % are the PAP’s adversaries, no problem for the PAP.
#1 weapon for PAP is the MSM, effective for propaganda on the 66.6%
#2 weapon for PAP is elections manipulation, using #1 weapon to justify “underhand” strategies.
#3 weapon for PAP is law suits to keep the opposition star players out of the game, using #1 weapon to justify the legal actions.
BUT #1 weapon is slowly being neutralized by the INTERNET.
Propaganda, cover ups, bullshit explanations are highlighted and debated in cyberspace.
66.6% are slowly enlightened and 18 year old students with critical thinking will be eligible to vote in 3 years time. More adversaries for the PAP to handle.
IBA made the powerful PAP close to dropping their pants.
Will more adversaries coming from 66.6% make them lose their pants ? LOL

nonplussed or not they still in government. do they give a damn?

I think there is nothing to feel nonplussed or otherwise in the existence of Internet and the power it generates. The Internet is not an adversary, not to the govt. or to anyone for the matter, it is an electronic platform for many good issues and at times for bad ones! It’s a perfect outlet for some to vent out anger, frustrations or making a point behind a screen. Many seems to use the Internet as a weapon to leash out at someone, for the matter, the govt. here, but not as a tool to repair soured relationship, bring about positive changes etc.
Its great what the internet generates, good or bad, I am sure the Govt. will pick up the postives and flush the negatives!!!
good exposure
The powerful govt will stand nonplussed if they lose their pants, and about time too ! It will be the best reward for the 33.3% who have remained steadfast in their views. It is about integrity and courage.
The internet is neutral but as a tool it is super effective in exposing this govt’s activities and will continously serve as a reminder to the public. Not possible for this govt to flush the negatives which they were able to with the MSM. They must deal with it. But I have serious doubts. LOL Simply because we have the mentality of little boys running the country. LOL
V S RAAJ, nice to have you around.

How would you feel if I am the one kicking your butt and you are the one having to rub your own butt everytime when the kick delivered to your wonderful butt. Repair soured relationship ?
When you start to know that someone is going to kick you back that you try to change tack and talk about reparing soured relationship ? So cheap and easy meh ?
“I am sure the Govt. will pick up the postives and flush the negatives!!!”
Frankly speaking, what do they have got to lose by doing the right things for the nation.
“bring about positive changes.”
Just do it lah and stop the marketing part lah.

On the other hand, I consider the PAP the adversary to many of the values I believe in.
