Not to worry when PM and SM left this world, they won’t bring with them billions of $$ in their bank acc. so they are the same as Mr JBJ in the other world. Pm and SM are faked leaders who pretend to serve S’pore, but they serve themselves with billions of $$ in their pockets.

Agree with Alex. Keep it up!! I enjoy reading your articles since you started your website. When Paul Newman passed on recently, there was a tribute to Paul Newman segment televised during prime time news on TV. But who is Paul Newman compared to our own JBJ, a true son of Singapore??? Only a one liner statement about his death was made during the news slot. Certainly, JBJ is more worthy of news than Paul Newman!! I am disgusted with Media Corp too. I grieve the death of JBJ. Though he was crushed, (sadly by political forces) time and again, he picked up the pieces and moved on. JBJ remained loyal to Singapore. JBJ is an exemplary of guts, courage, perseverance, leadership. He is definitely a hero. I only read about Lim Chin Siong but with JBJ, we all witness his stormy political journey. He has left behind a legacy for those who have the courage to speak for the voiceless minority.
RIP, JBJ ..till we meet again..

Such act is akin to a rich wealthy male rapist raping a poor village woman and then twist the story to say that the victim is the one raping the aggressor and that he is willing to forgive the ‘female rapist’ ! Sure enough the judge award the case to the male rapist because the former is been brought over to keep his job.

Such atrocious act. Unfortunately we seeing the same thing although applied in political saga here.

No one wants to do anything. Pathetic Singapore, the lion city ? And I thought Singaporean is supposed be a lion, never thought that he always is the Sheep. When will Sleeping lion wakeup ?

I am struck by the fact that Kenneth Jeyaretnam had to write to the PM about his difficulty in seeking employment in Singapore. It speaks volume of the climate of fear that the PAP had engendered in singapore.
Please remember that Kenneth Jeyaretnam has a First Class Honour in Economics from Cambridge( not NUS or NTU). You would think that MAS, GIC. Temasek or any employers would bend over backwards to employ him offering sign-on bonuses

yes i am simply disappointed with PM & SM condolence letter
when we were born, we brought nothing
when we leave, we left nothing behind except a name
but I do not see why how unforgiving them as our PM & SM to even til the death of their so called “political rivals” to be so political.
Whatever bad blood between them has passed after this departure.
Why cant they in capacity of a human being be more humane in their condolences?

It was felt that condolence messages would have been ‘tailored’ or done away with the usual theatrical politics…though the messages was a little short of condolences, solace and comfort, it was nevertheless, one! Only our PM and SM has to live with it! It was like ‘crude’ oil with no purpose of use! Wished our learned PM and SM had refined it so it would oil or act as lubricant of many wounded hearts!
