Minibonds – please don’t sue

In Quotes • 408 views • 6 Comments

All financial institutions, everybody will freeze and take legal defensive actions and then ‘your affected investors will have to wait weeks if not months, maybe even years before they can have recourse. I don’t think that’s the best approach’.

Lim Hng Kiang, who said that “if the issue is taken to court, ‘nothing will move’ amid the legal wrangling.” (Straits Times)

now who is afraid of going to court if the banks are at wrong?

is it the victims who are afraid? is it the bank who are afraid? or is it the government who is afraid?

i think the whole idea is trying to just drag and drag, dilute the emotions, weaken tan kin lian strength and hopfully singaporean will forget the saga as days, weeks and months go by.

then eveything will go back to normal. the victims also never go to court and things just go back to normal.

because if things get to court, i think the one on top of the pyramid will suffer the most. In this case it is MAS.

Needless, the best approach of a world clown action is to MOVE ON.

“”All financial institutions, everybody will freeze and take legal defensive actions and then ‘your affected investors will have to wait weeks if not months, maybe even years before they can have recourse.”
Why Chen ShuiBian didn’t learn to say this ? He must be stupid and regret now. Chen need to learn from our world class gov.

I think these retail investors have fairly good case to bring these FIs to the court.
It could mean our legal framework is fundamentally flawed if these retail investor eventually loss the case. Then, the impact could be total lost of confidence in our financial sector….

i don’t know . . . but can 10,000 come together, engage a team of lawyers and sue them collectively? – just a thought.
