cozy, I’ve thought of the pledge too! & of course realize the glaring things mentioned in the pledge that aren’t present in this society. There ain’t no justice; expressing one’s opinions isn’t a crime. There ain’t no democracy; there’s communism or depotism. There sure as hell ain’t no equality! Rich gets richer, everyone else gets poorer, simple theory. Gov’s moving way ahead of us instead of growing & being in touch with us, what in monkey’s hell is that all about?

Is wearing a T shirt with a kangaroo a crime in S’pore? Is being a S’porean a crime? Is sleeping a crime? Is going to work a crime? Is being male a crime? Is eating a crime? Is being sad, happy or angry a crime? Is my name a crime? Is living in S’pore a crime? Is saying what you don’t like a crime? Or saying something nice a crime? Is it a crime to be a human in S’pore? that deserves the death sentence? I wouldn’t be surprised that one day it will be punishable by death for jay-walking; after all this is Singapore.

Curious to know what will they do if 1000s turn up with Kangaroo T-shirts at the court ?
Take everyone to court and all these 1000s get jail terms and lose jobs ?
Will this make media headlines everywhere?
Will these kangaroo T-shirts become the latest hot fashion item?
Wouldn’t the meek & silent be stronger in numbers?

I wonder under which statute of our Singapore law that says it will be an offence to wear a T-shirt with a picture of a kangaroo on it.

Can the judge please enlighten us ? Or is the judge just following the orders of LKY & PM son ?

How come I never heard of such a offence punishable under our Singapore law ?

Law is written by man, and it is possible for it to be re-written or bent to further compromise your cause or work against others. There are many other historical examples better than this.

I believe if S Rajaratnam is still alive today, he will bow his head in shame.

Where are the DEMOCRATIC… JUSTICE… EQUALITY… ACHIEVE >>>FOR OUR NATION that S Rajaratnam had written in this pledge in 1966 to be found in today 2008?

Must as well, just cancelled out the last 3 sentences of our Singapore’s Pledge from today onward to only –

New Singapore’s Pledge (2008)

We, the citizens of Singapore

Regardless of race, language or religion
But, to survive or thrive, we are on your own
So, may our gods help us all

Take out S Rajaratnam as the author of the pledge as well and rewrite the new pledge history as written in 2008 author PAP!
