Dear James (post 1),

Yes, in my opinion, an observer who was not a participant at one of the events has been hauled to court and charged.

However, I cannot say who it is or what the event was, due to subjudice considerations, as the trial is ongoing.

In addition to
smallvice585's "It would be a good idea if TOC editors or the Letter authors provide a title for each letter.",

Can you please put a number header for each letter and standardize the letter too ? It will make it easier to reference, search (eg search for #2 for start of letter) and read.

eg
#1. Title (better if this is put in larger font size and bold to discern from content)
Author
Content

----- (Maybe is a better choice ?)

#2. Title
Author
Content

The last letter showed how arrogant the ruling party is, dismissing the opposition just because they are few and contributions by them are blatantly put down or perhaps receive less media attention. The talk about how only the PAP can bring about real change is very inconsiderate and putting itself on a pedestal doesn't help in showing citizens that they are a non-bias and bilateral in issues concerning Singapore.

I'm appalled that our PM chose poor words to concoct a speech for the public to hear. It shed a bad light on the ruling party..

Hence, contrary to Mr Lim’s comments, legal action has been initiated against participants, observers, and even first-time supporters of SDP protests.

Perhaps you can provide some evidence to this claim? Especially about the observers. It would be alarming to see even bystanders being charged (for what, huh?), unless they were doing something else other than just observing. It is a grave cause for concern when the law is used against civilians whose actions do not cause harm to others.
