I expect the PAP to now start mining for information on Mr. Tan. Does he smoke? I heard he takes the MRT, maybe someone saw him not giving a seat to the old….? Did he make any careless mistakes in one of his 2000 transport claims in NTUC? Gee….the guy is not perfect…..there has to be something.

  1. Then isn’t it time for prospective candidates to start looking at the short-comings or errors committed by the current batch of MPs..

    It’s a tit-for-tat battle.

  2. PAP doesn’t have to bother.

Just publish past histories and that’s the end.

    Haha~

It doesn’t matter if he is capable to be the president at this point of time, just look at the kind of jobs our present one is involved, is that so difficult? what matter most to the people of singapore now is a highly qualified financial professional like TKL to do the checks and balance of our trapped monies in our nations reserve, monies that belongs to the rightful citizens like you and me. So why start all the attacks on him? . . . .well! unless you guys are being paid to do the dirty jobs here . . . if not, then what?

  4. Any contest is better than no contest! When the battle is up, it is up to the candidates to be convincing (assuming relatively balance media coverage… more of a hope actually) and the people to exercise reason in voting.

  5. Now, would PAP wants an “Elected President” that ask questions? The esteemed Prime Minister had always said that the “change is from within”.

Let’s see how this event evolves, knowing the ways of PAP…

  6. A brave man – TKL.

It will also be nice to know his biodata and exam results soon. Remember CST versus the pap ?
There may be a headline ” TKL did not go to the university…….”

pap promoting active retirement – so good for TKL to take up the gauntlet.

Best wishes to voters of TKL and to the man himself.

  7. the culture of stigmatizing someone else but not yourself is always there.

i just hope he doesn’t make use of company stamps to mail personal stuff out… think past election.

Seriously so what if he does? Our elitist better know that the same old trick will have ZERO impact today. Focus on the issues we have today, MAS not doing their job, people called by the MPs to do their job by questioning the TC’s investment strategy, ERPs after ERPs, Public transport hike – TAXI, TRAIN AND BUS, electricity bills UP, UP and UP…

We, Singaporeans don’t care what anyone does with company’s stamp…. REALLY!!!

TKL had been a PAP member for 30 years until he resigned 3 months ago. Interesting to see how the PAP treats its ex-comrade.

I wish TKL success if he runs for the EP or an independent MP.

  10. The PAPies get their own faces slap if they will to do TKL in since he had been a PAP member for the past 30 years. He was’nt sacked or dismissed, he resigned on his own accord. We will give him full support if he intends to stand for election as President or MP of S’pore, howerver we hope he will keep his promises once elected.

  11. Wasn’t Andrew Kuan an ex-PAP man too?
