Hi Me,
Thanks bro. I’m not against HR.
I just believe we Singaporeans(majority) are not at comfort zone yet. Just see how many of our fellow singaporeans gonna lose their jobs in the coming months. Not many of them got savings to tie them over during this period. We heard about this before, its gonna happen very soon. My mind is more towards what gonna happen the next few months than HR.

kampong, i concur with your remarks about “empty stomach” and all.However, freedom of speech is very important in getting to the other rights too, so let’s not belittle it.

If Human Rights are measured in terms of freedom of speech, right to protest then I think we need to improve alot. Not only we have to be open-minded but receptive to alternative ideas too.

If Human Rights are measured in terms of good housing, good education, jobs and very importantly for our kids to move around safely and freely, then we did farely well.

Whats the point of talking about Human Rights if the stomach is empty. Those countries that talk about Human Rights does not treat their ‘citizens’ equally but try to preach Human Rights to other people.
