We have no other candidate willing to step forward.
So, regardless of how many eventually sign the petition,
I still hope that you would kindly stand for election.

No walkover, i hope.

Signing up petition for Mr Tan Kin Lian. I hope to see more people coming forward to support Mr Tan but I believe for every signature on the petition it represents nine other citizens who are fearful of coming out in the open to support him. These fearful citizens will vote for him in the secret ballot when Mr Tan eventually stand for election. So, Mr Tan, even if you don't have the 100,000 signatures JUST DO IT.

8) Volunteers for TanKinLian on December 5th, 2008 6.55 pm

------------

I think that is a good way.

Last saturday, I saw quite many signed on the spot. Makes it easier for everyone also.

this is a proactive approach to motivate the middle 'voters' , so-2-speak.

6) Gilbert Goh on December 5th, 2008 3.04 pm
Hi have a wonderful programme ahead.

I am aboard so cant join you all.

Anyway is it possible to do a livefeed via some IT gadget so I can view it live here too?
==============

Gilbert brought up a good point to consider.
There are many singaporeans living overseas now and those who resigned from the inc.
There are existing technology that can live feed to the internet. I suggest the following solution :

1. voice can be transmitted near-'live'.
2. blog can show snapshots still photos of the scene. This reduces the amount of data in the uplink to the web.

Watching a video of the speakers , overseas readers cannot feel what the ground is feeling. Cannot interact and chat with those who attend the rallies.
Very different atmosphere.

Hello!

We are volunteers working on the petition for Mr Tan Kin Lian to stand for election for public office.

Some of us will be at Hong Lim Speakers' Corner this Saturday, 6 December, from 5pm to 7pm, to listen to the speeches of Mr Tan Kin Lian and others.

We will also be gathering signatures for the petition during this event. If you or your friends wish to sign up for the petition, please do approach us there.

If you wish to help us with the petition, we will also welcome you to sign up as a volunteer and join us.

Please note that when you sign up, you are just asking Mr Tan to stand for election. You are not voting for him.

You can also sign up for the petition online here if you are unable to attend the event:
http://tankinlian.blogspot.com/2008/11/petition-form-for-elected-presidency.html

We look forward to seeing you all!
