Mine image is the newspaper clipping that read Singaporeans can only withdraw their CPF monies at the age of 85. Basic human rights such as the right over our own property is lacking.

The plight of our foreign workers are certainly a cause of concern e.g. foreign maids not having their mandatory off-day and construction workers not being paid or having humane living conditions.

If there are human rights here in singapore, then why trapped our cpf monies??? what is the different from wrongfully taking away our hard earned cpf money and keep delaying and changing the withdrawal dates with all kinds of crap excuses?

To me, CPF = Tax. It’s unlikely you’ll get all of it back anyway, at least fairly. HDB flats prices jack up ‘cos people can definitely afford HDB flats at exorbitant prices with their untouchable CPF funds, or so the gov thinks. It only involves paperwork. However, CPF funds get depleted after purchase of a jacked-up flat, & you ain’t got no elderly-welfare benefits from the gov. Watcha gonna do then, brother? You work ’til you drop!

    pugdragon,

You are merely being Ah-Q by thinking that CPF is tax. Withholding your own monies from you is blatant violation of your rights. Being made legal does not make it any less wrong.
