At the heart of the matter lies the one principle that the government abides by, whether consciously or not: Citizens are dangerous and ignorant until proven otherwise.

One Response to “Dangerous and ignorant until proven otherwise”

sad but true and accurate observation by groundnotes. the MSM tried to counter the `hostile’ net by coming out with their interactive internet commentary. But then it is selective – on certain taboo topics (not even racial or religious ones) they forbid any comments by netizens. They have pruned themselves to such an extent that only bland topics like trees and drains issues are tolerated. Frank comments but jarring to the ears of the guardians of OB markers are banned as irrelevant or offensive.
They are the true believers of this creed that `citizens are dangerous and ignorant unless proven otherwise’ indeed!
