    Happy New Year!

Can you all recall one thing, just one thing, that PAP did you like?

If you cannot think of any, then maybe it is time to reflect upon yourself. Maybe you are just too biased.

When you are biased, you will read everything they do as rotten, and there is nothing they can do to please you.

    I love TOC man!

A Happy Niu Year to All.

Please do not refer to this as “The Year of the Ox” as an Ox is a castrated male animal. Sorry it can no longer father any youngs.

It is better to refer to it as “The Year of the Bull”. Let the bulls come back to the stock markets worldwide in 2009.

That will indeed be “A Happy “Niu” Year!!!

so an Oxy is a castrated Bully.

There’s no such thing as an Oxy.

Remember, it’s already castrated — so it should be Oxv (the descender of y is cut off if you know what I mean).

LOL — just a new year joke to lighten up.

    Cheers

  30. Can you think of one good thing the pap did for me.

I remember my MP giving me some Fairprice vouchers. I said I should not accept it as there are people who need it more than me. But he pressed and I accepted.

Then I told myself I will buy some nice things to eat and share it with the people in my village in Indochina.

I did that and I think my fellow villagers need something good to eat and that are nutritious too.

    Any more vouchers pap MP?

  34. Happy year of the Ax,
oops! sorry, I meant year of the Ox
to all humanoids as long as you accept my greetings.

    Hope for the new year:
    1. GE – allow me to exercise my rights. I shall hold back no more. A;low substantially more citizens of singapore the chance to vote. Afterall, its a small tiny little city which is a country in itself. Let ALL be given the chance to vote. No More Walkovers.

    2. Apathy – let it be terminated once and for all. At least, increase in number of non-apathetic citizens. See what happens when this happens. Some are not even aware of the les meserables cooking fiasco.

    3. I also hope ALL visiting your relatives chat about social issues and all issues that affect the singaporean community and see their reactions and see for yourselves are they afraid or not and how 1st world are these citizens in this aspect. And see for yourselves the mentality of singaporeans and why they are different than other 1st world citizens who have experienced somethings they have never. Ask they for their views on the many issues as highlighted in TOC in 2008. These alone will have enough talking points to serve as ice-breakers for long-time-no-see-relatives. And hopefully, you too can understand why i said although most in this TOC share similar thinking and views, they are small in number , about a couple of thousands at most and this number is neglible compared to 4.5 million. So, the majority in singapore do not think like most here. Do not be deceived by internet. You see many postings in social issue sites. But these are the few thousand only. The majority 4.4 million do not have interest in social issues, to the extent of visiting such websites to comment.

And thus, i see Not Much Have Changed despite all the Issues surfaced in 2008.
Reminiscent of when we see i estimated near hundred thousand who turned up at WP rallies in last election, only 33% out of the one who got the chance to vote (no walkovers) voted for the loyal opposition aka Alternative parties.

Take a look at this photo and tell me what has changed :
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/34347053@N03/3227990769/sizes/l/

APATHY is real. See for yourselves.

Just to listen is too mission impossible.

I agree with you and most Singaporeans on this.

Singapore should return to the Single Member Constituency for General Elections. Abolish GRC as it does not make sense to emphasize on racial differences. Afterall, we are all Singaporeans.
