maybe he is too busy so forget the numbers.
small mistake i can forgive you.
if big mistake then you better resign.
As usual, nothing new from these bunch of useless elites, whenever being questioned by the people, they just come out with all kinds of numbers and figures to confuse you.
isn’t the whip supposed to know the number of MPs? was he asleep? obviously he was not paying attention to anything! and we pay him millions a year? is our money well spent? wonder what he would be if he was in the private sector, excluding the GLCs of course!
I think he was being lazy, just using boilerplate reply like what they do in the press.
If Feb 5 is indeed full attendance and the number present is 89, how come there is 90 MP on Feb 3. So it seems there are phantom MPs…
At least his mistake didnt cost us $100 billion
Our highly paid minister did not bother to verify the facts before releasing a statement on the papers. He only realize the mistake when comments were made on the Internet about our supposedly very dedicated MP Mr. Seng Han Thong who apparently also attended the sessions despite on medical leaves.
If there were no checks and balances provided by the Singapore Netizen community, he would have gotten away with such slackness. WELL DONE Singapore Netizens! Keep up the great work!
Hahaha…. what a joke… if this guy cannot get the double digit numbers in such a small house right… how on earth will he make sense of numbers with nine digits or more?
To think that he was making the statement in response to a valid query on whether our MPs are sleeping on the job and not attending parliamant session, he should have checked his statistics right? Especially since its a rebuttal on thier dedication to parliament seating. He does not even know how many MPS should be in parliament… my god …what a crack whip we have!
It is possible to lose count when you have so many of these PAP MPs
who got into parliament by the backdoor, i.e. through walk-overs or
hitching a ride on some minister’s bandwagon.
In losing count of the number of MPs, Lim Swee Say has inadvertently indicated
to us that there are just too many PAP MPs.
It should not surprise us that these MPs are there to give the PAP a numerical advantage. Does not matter if they have no spine and no voice.
Our elites always do things with their eyes open so maybe he is trying to sleep on the job with his eyes open.
Last time DBS staff kena retrench he also dunno, so maybe can blame on miscommunication too.
Porbably next time he’ll tell the story that because this mouse barks so often, that’s why he is always miscommunicating with other mice.
I told my grndmaohter how you helped. She said, bake them a cake!
