How would LKY feels if LHL sends LKY to JB Old Folks Home:
Son: Pa.. I am sending u to JB. It is cheaper to retire there..
Father: But you are here.. I want to live with my family..
Son: I can buy you more things in JB with the money I earn than I do in Singapore
Father: But you earn S$3.2M a year, you can buy a lot of things in Singapore already..
wonder what is the status and value of our elderly in Singapore from now on to the public at large after the suggestion option of our health minister, and what kind of social value are we supposed to pass on to our young?
Erm, i notice somethings :
1. COE : is not an issue, when u belong to the high earners.
2. Medical costs rising : ditto.
3. Retirement : ditto.
4. FT : is a blessing if u are employer and wiseman says if you employee also.
5. Min Sum : ditto
6. etc : ditto.
in short, this jb thingie does not affect the rich retirees.
If you are rich, there is no issue with many thingies.
I wonder if Khaw has friends or family members doing business as undertakers.
Besides nursing homes, Khaw can also suggest building funeral parlours.
That’s right ! a one stop service for the elderly to make their permanent exit at JB.
Since it is all about being pragmatic, Khaw might as well look into a large plot of land for burial options.
Will this indirectly, for some strange reasons, provide more rooms for foreign talents to rent flats here?
BEST IN JB……..as Pua Chu Kang used to say.
When in JB they can watch PCK so what the fuss?
