Oh , sure. Sure this will solve the problem introduced by Gambling in the 1st place. well done.
actually i think this is a pretty good piece of legislation…dunno if its implemented in other countries aswell
..sure.. another Cure-All remedy cum solution to whatever they wish to implement..
I give you 5 years, and they will be Re-thinking their ‘bright ideas’…
Hey, can we restrict all Singapore-born Singaporeans from going to the Casino more than once a year. I think China restrict their nationals from going to Macau more than twice a year.

In other countries, they simply don’t want casinos so no need to set clumsy rules like $100 entry fee or ban your spouse law. Even in US, only a few states among the many states have Casinos because there will be social repurcussions with gambling.
I agree with CJ that they will rethink all the rules when the income from the casinos is not up to expectations.
I suspect this legislation came up, as a response to the huge amount of “displeasure” on the casino decision.
Let’s not diss it till we try it. If its not working, then can complain about it.
I’d rather challenge the govt on – so what will you do with the taxing of the casinos? how do you spread the wealth gained? how will it improve our lives?
eg Jockey Club here in HK is taxed heavily by the govt. They also are major philanthropists – building and supporting old-age homes, universities and schools, among other things.
Will the money gained go straight into our reserves – which we will not be able to have a say on? or will it be used to reduce the strain on costs of living of the average singaporean?
