I sense that there are employers for some unknown reasons, trying to show they are hiring or trying to give opportunity to singaporeans / PRs by advertising that they are hiring only singaporeans / PRs.

However, I was shockingly awoken after I find out the employment terms.

1. $5 / hour , working hours per day , for so-called PARTIMER, is 8 hours! $5 tpt allowance.
2. $1500 / month for so-called FULL TIMER where working hour is 12 hours!
3. The hawker stall employer placed a small ad (A4 paper) on his Chicken rice stall at Seng Kang West Ave hawker center for someone to work in Jurong.

All the above factors is puzzling because :
1. The ad seems to target Seng Kang residents.

2. To travel to Jurong, would need all the tpt allowance. Meaning, still $5 per hour income.

3. Out of $5 per day income, for working 8 hours outside, a worker may need to spend $2.50 per day on whatever is necessary.

4. How much is left? We are talking about singapore worker who has family to support, expensive homes to pay and pay, high cost of living bills to pay and pay and children’s future to take care of as well as dependent’s medical bills .

5. Mr LTK is right when he says foreigners come here without their families main objective to earn and go back where cost of living there is lower and exchange rate is benefitial to them , especially now.

Time to vote.

Alas, its unfortunate that many old folks who are less educated, may never hear this – they may be too busy line dancing, watching free oldies movies and karok’ing or some even FastFood serving in their twlight years if not collecting old newspapers and scrounging for goodies in the bin unable to compete with young foreigners.

LTK good speech in the parliament, he really spoken out of the majority mid-low class citizen’s mind like me, but it’s true that opposition party has it limited power and seats to oppose in the parliament on the check & balance to the imcumbent government policies.

I hope MSM published exactly what he has delivered in the parliament at the main page, so more affected people will pay more attention and be able to read it.

We just hope for the next election to come soonest, or unless the incumbent government can review all it current policies (only benefit more to the rich and the elite).

I have attended TOC event on this topic at HLP last month, the turnout rate quite pathetic (less than 40) not sure how effective it would, to the incumbent government? – if there is any petitions needed to the authorities please count me in.

I thought every male in sg is the same? Foreigners came sg to work 12hrs/day , after 2years they go back to their country to enjoy life, got enough to buy property, land,farms,etc. But sg male like us gotta serve NS 24hrs/day, end up jobs r being taken up by foreigners.
