Last decrease was about how many percent again?
now increase 7% in June, and another 12.5 in October. I guess it breaks even the decrease they gave out.

Prices of gas are always pegged differently when it comes to tariff adjustments.
When oil prices dropped, the price of gas is pegged to various indicators.
When oil prices increase, suddenly the price of gas is pegged to the oil price.

Makes you wonder, how in the world does traders for gas determine the price of gas when making purchases of gas for their businesses!

If I remember correctly Minister Raymond Lim said public transport fare hikes were not linked to oil prices. As such, he got no link to the increases in electricity tariffs. However, it is hoped that his Ministry will not raise the fares of public transports because of the increasing oil prices.

when oil prices was $150 dollars, electricity prices rose so much. and then when prices dropped to below $40, it took so many months of moaning and complaints before EMA decided to act.

1. $150 a barrel: First they say prices need to go up because of high oil prices.
2. $30 a barrel: Minister and they say, oil prices have no bearing on electrcity price hike.
3. Now: They say oil prices going up, price to be raised.

So what is what?

Dont forget that during the last electricity price spike, the gahmen just quietly continued to collect their electricity tariff and taxes.

It’s time the opposition members be proactive and demand the gahmen for a plan that states at which levels of would lower the tariff and taxes be lowered temporarily.

Once oil prices spike again, it may be too late for the lower income families to bear this extra burden.

weather so hot, sure use fans, aircon, kettle (boil drinking water) etc. etc.

not sure other than increase $, elites got better solutions?

When the fuel price drop like crazy, they decided to increase the price greatly then decrease the price a little. When the fuel price increases, they decided to slap us with 7%. What is this? What is the govt trying to tell me?

Remember the dodo gov selling Singapore electricity asset ? Look like it is time the company that buy over the electricity plant of Singapore start to dig citizen’s pocket.

Gov get money, company that buy over Singapore electricity make money, only the citizen get screwed .
