Figuratively speaking, we are very much like on a small canoe.

When we are all on a small canoe, and there are a few who rocks the boat, what do you do? Obviously, in the course of throwing the boat-rockers overboard we inevitably have to capsize the canoe, get everyone else wet - but we all need to upright the canoe and climb back onboard - WITHOUT the boat-rockers.

No pain... no CHANGE.

Aiya Singapore is not Thailand lah.

In Thailand, when they demonstrate, it is tens of thousands people.

In SIngapore, Chee Soon Juan, the only person who dare to organise one, only 20 or less people dare to join. Some more include children.

So of course the police got no problem charging all those adults in court what.

And after that no more demonstrations organised by Chee anymore.

It is a joke to compare Singapore with Thailand man.

Been watching the History/Discovery channel on the subject of our universe.

Before Copernicus, the general idea was that the earth was the centre of the universe and all the planets, including the sun revolves around it. Through their observation, the "scientist" of the day mapped elaborate paths that the planets have to move in order to concur with their observations! They got to squeeze their brains to device "theory", models to fit what they have observed in reality.

In Singapore, i think PAP is THE centre of our nation, Singapore. The gov has got to devise ways and means to make sure that this created reality can fit the model of the real world, whatever.

Copernicus came onto the scene in the 16 century (~1530). He decided to try to put the sun in the centre of the "universe" and lo and behold! All the planets path aligned themselves naturally around the sun!

No need to device ways and schemes to explain how the planets revolve around the earth.

If we can just put Singapore and Singaporeans in the centre of our nation, the "planets", PAP, Gov, Judiciary, Police, Army, Town Councils, WP, Unions, 2nd language policy, NGOs, etc will naturally aligned.

No need to device ways and schemes to explain things.
