In Singapore, raping your wife is not treated as rape in most cases.
But it should be.
Rape is rape is rape. An extreme form of violence and violation. Rape of a woman by her husband should be treated just like any other kind of rape. Abolish marital rape immunity. There can be no exceptions.

I’m not going to name names here but there was some nit wit earlier on who made some remark about how a woman should just use KY jelly and shift her legs in various positions if her husband wants to have sex while she does not…Er not sure how this works:
Point 1: If she is in a drugged state how does she go and get KY …
Point 2: If the guy smacks her up or uses a knife or gun to get her to spread her legs, do you think she’s going to be able to say…oh, hang on dear, I need to get the KY?
Come on, rape is not sexy. It’s cruel and violent and it does nothing to enhance the sanctity of marriage. Let’s not get the idea that it is a rape victim’s problem if she didn’t get the KY in time.

What utter nonsense you people write. KY Jelly? If the woman doesn’t want to have sex, then at that point of time you don’t have sex. No one needs to make useless sacrifices like using Jelly and shaking your legs. No man has the right to force his partner to sex. It might yes be less psychologically disturbing than rape by a stranger/s but it’s a sickening act all the same. And in fact, who knows the mental trauma a victim might go through? It could range from nothing to everything. Marital rape is rape all the same. Such sacrifices during sex are not right. This is the bond in marriage. You make sacrifices, yes, but not to this extent. Sex is a mutual, beneficial and enjoyable decision which shall be an activity engaged in only if both the partners are willing. If there’s a time a man SOMEHOW doesn’t want to have sex, you’ll never see the female’s need leading to the same circumstances, so please think and write whatever you do because it has 0 logic whatsoever.
