The Complaints Choir was banned from the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival in January 2008. A Finnish initiative that renders local complaints into a musical performance, Singapore was meant to be the first leg of an Asian Complaints Choir series. As a result of the ban, it was held as a private, invite-only event.

  3. helpless mere mortal 7 September 2009

Can we sing this song at Hong Lim Park in one of the future ‘gatherings’?

what do you say, Mr Tan Kin Lian? Can we sing it before or after your next speech?

If you could kindly lead the way, I am sure your supporters would help out by forming a choir and the rest will follow?

  4. I'm fed up 7 September 2009

the Festival was in Jan 2008 and only NOW do we get to see it ??????

Please circulate this song to all PAPsters. It represents the true sentiments on the ground, not the cosmetic powder-coated porous surfaces presented by PAP.

PAP = SHAME = Shameless hypocrite and medieval ethics

Govern the country’s people but not governing for its people. What are we voting for, really?

  6. Ah Long Kia 8 September 2009

This Kiasu govt will allow this song to be played to the public/world as it pointed out alot of negative behaviour of our ppls and many defective policies implemented by the kiasu & kiasi govt.

  7. Mong Mong wants to play 8 September 2009

  8. Dr Frankenstein 8 September 2009

  9. Yamamoto 8 September 2009

    8) Dr Frankenstein

Of course, listen only to the good stuff…..first sign of learning disability

  10. After listening to this choir, I can understand why our PAP govt is so decisive to bring in more and more FT & FW. Because LKY cannot conduct another “Operation Cold Storage” to lock up all citizens, the only way he can do is to REPLACE as much Singaporean as possible.

  11. Wah!! Beautiful song. It should let more people learn to sing it. Let’s spread around guys. Thank you TOC and the choir.

  12. No Balls 8 September 2009

Although I do not agree with all the complaints, I nevertheless enjoyed the song and lyrics and most of all the seemingly childish singers but in actual fact, professional vocalists!

Can consider working with Jack Neo to produce another Singapore-style movie. Would surely be a hit!

  13. Actually, what the song depicts is daily real life happenings in singapore. Its a pity we cannot even share the truth or laugh at our daily musings. I suppose we have to sing “Upturn the Downturn” with LSS and the NTUC????

  14. mice is nice 8 September 2009

so much for learning to laugh at oneself… :(

    says alot about a person’s confidence! ;)

  15. Kan Wong Thong 8 September 2009

can i email blast for all friends to see?

  16. creducator 9 September 2009

Valid complaints which we do experienced often. But why are the choir members looked so happy when they sang about the ills of Singapore?

  17. mice is nice 9 September 2009

if everything so perfect then there is nothing to laugh about?
