Why did MediaCorp use reactions from only its satellite parties and not the excellent rebuttal from the SDP to PAP’s so-called cooling-off period?

Maybe the SDP could not reply to MSM in time for them to either print it on paper or broadcast it out on air.

There are so many possible scenarios. I am also curious since our MSM, according to RSF, has improved.

This is why the Opposition strategy should be flexible to handle all surprises.
I hope they wake up and unleash whatever they need to in time before that cool off.

If there is breaking shocking news on cooling off day, would anyone be able to RESPOND?

Singapore has changed so much it is now like his.

What if another news like Gomez or pkms fighting happen at the last minute?
would people be confused, wavered?

At least in this case, Ambalam was quoted in ST on his views about the cooling period.

On previous occasions, I suspect that SDP’s views were not published because it chose to give responses which were not relevant to the topic at hand. A good example was the recent one on opposition’s preparations for the election where SDP decided not to answer the queries directly. Instead it regurgitated its oft-repeated point about the iniquities of the election system. Even if the response had been on time, it would NOT have seen daylight.

SDP would rather paint itself has being isolated by the MSM than to cooperate with the MSM to get its own views out to the people. It only has itself to blame for being an MSM exile.

Give them a break lah. Even our PM needs two weeks to compose himself before he can address the nation when things cockup.

How on earth is this “24-hour cooling-off period” supposed to make any difference on individual’s decision who they will be voting for.

Most would have likely decided which party they will be voting for long before any election is due.

Another of PAP ’s ploy! We all know the media ,straits times , the news are all voices of the PAP so where is intergrity of this new so called cooling off period.

Why oh why must we always other coutries or governments! It will interesting to see whether that day will be hot one or indeed a cool day?

PAP is trying hard to work everything to their advantage. They know fully well the sentiments of the ground this couple of years.

It will be a means to an end when election time is near. All eyes are there to see their
underhand ways and ‘threat’ to voters to vote for them. MSM will be fully PAP’s vehicles of propaganda.

Many of us had decided. Changes it will be. More oppositions will be voted into parliament. The one day cooling period is to save their (_*_) s. Just to bad, the result will show, come election!
