Amazing. They even want to hide the survey questionnaire used to survey the public. They must be very dishonest and very, very scared.

“We are unable to forward you a copy of the survey questionnaire. However, you can look forward to more details in our monographs, available for purchase at end Mar/early Apr 2010.”
Why statistics from government agencies and survey results are not available free online?
Talk about Freedom Of Information, talk about transparency.  Here is an example of how poor the gov measure up.

  3. nothing is free. why should they be made free for abused?

Should GMS supporters form a facebook petition to demand for the questionaire and info of public interest or concern?

  5. sarek_home 27 February 2010

Tax payers already pay them to generate the statistics.
Why do they have to pay again to read the details?  What are their concern if the public studying the statistics in details?

    Sneaky!
    1) we don’t know who are the sample population in this survey
    2) survey is commissioned by hdb… How objective is that?
    3) research results can be skewed if survey questions were not well crafted & the figures can be massaged to lean in favor of HDB
    4) survey is simply outdated… Property prices were in completed madness in 2009. This survey was done 2008! What took hdb & research house tt looooong to reveal these absurd findings?

The myth is finally broken with such reply.  HDB and PAP have a lot to hide from Singaporeans. This is getting scary every day. I can’t wait any longer for election to throw traitors out of power.

  8. Absolutely manipulative 25 March 2010

Imagine a survey with a question like:

    1.   Have you ever taken suger or cocaine?   Y/N

See how a crafted survey can skew answers?  Based on that you’d think this was a country of cocaine adicts.
