Levy hike may hurt those in nursing homes

The hike in the foreign worker levy will mean higher operating costs for nursing homes,
which have a high proportion of non-local staff – with one home saying that
if costs go up too high, it may have to raise fees.

    Should be expected, least by our esteemed ministers. Remember when GST went up from 5% to 7%, businesses took the opportunity to jack up their charges, some disproportionally. Simple passing the cost to the employees or the customers. U means our FM didn’t know this trick, meh? What, we paying him peanuts, is it?
