Serves them right!
“The Chans allegedly missed several of their monthly payments on a loan from DBS bank, which is seeking a High Court order to possess the property. One option is for the Chans to sell the house on their own and settle their debt. — ST PHOTO: CAROLINE CHIA”
Pt 1: It’s two separate matters. Their quarrel with their neighbours got nothing to do with how banks should treat it’s client.
Pt 2: Miss how many months? I don’t read ST… but how many months did they miss? Tot the bank should talk to the owner to work out a package before repossessing the flat… I probably missed out the details as I don’t read ST any more…
Pt 3: Incidentally, it’s DBS bank. I will be wary to take a loan from DBS in the future.
Pt 4: Driving them out in this matter is a compassion act to them? If the society is general is not a compassionate one, do you expect the people to be graceful and compassion in general?
Did the old Chan flaunt his wealth recently and said the fine was “nothing” as he spent more on Karaoke than the fine amount ??
Talk about arrogant Bas—-ds!! Serve them right if they are in financial woes and have to be evicted….
That was the condo MC chairman. his Chan was fined $4K and said it was “sup sup sui”.
oh i see… my mistake.. every Chan but same idotic behaviour !
oh i see… my mistake.. different Chan but same idotic behaviour !
Think his neighbours would rejoice if they move out. Peace at last, hopefully the next
occupants would behave as neighbours should. There are better things to do than to
engage in idiotic and childish behaviour.
His legal costs over the years would be enough to cover any mortgage shortfall. Maybe the neighbours shd step up their legal battle and finish them once and for all.
Mr Chan said: ‘I’m waiting for them to sue me. I’ll fight to the end, even if I have to mortgage my house. Pride is at stake here.’
He did say it, back in 2002.
So there is a God. or Karma.
Their current neighbours will rejoice but nightmares await their new neighbours.
The anti-social behaviour of this ugly family has set a very bad example in our society. Don’t say it has got nothing to do with us. Singapore as a whole paid a social cost for that.
I’d love to see him voted into parliament.
At least we get a laugh pitting him against the cast of PAP lightweights.
This fellow is a rascal and he never pretends to be otherwise.
At least he is honest about that.
Unlike some who pretends to be benovelent, expects vulgar salary and refuses to consider minimum wage.
