Breaking News:
The homeless lady who was seven months pregnant when TOC first came to know of her plight in January 2010, (see articles here) has given birth to a baby girl at KK hospital. She had been camping out at Sembawang Park for four months before she was given a place to stay by MCYS and the HDB. The infant weighs 3.785 kg. TOC will be visiting her and will keep our readers updated.

I wish to say sorry to the future generations of Singaporeans for our current generation has failed to safeguard your rights to a better home. We have failed you by trading our rights for short sighted gains and quick but unsustainable growth. I am truly sorry as you have to pay heavily for our sins.

If lao lee knows of this, for sure he will order ligation for the woman. Otherwise no more help from govt — no more free food, no more ntuc vouchers, no more free lodging or subsidised hospitalisation, no more cheap rental flats, no more school places for kids, no more subsidised school fees for kids etc.

In the 70s or 80s, it will be done in a crude “in-your-face” manner. Nowadays, lao lee’s ministars will upgrade the method to apply psychological and monetary pressure to make her agree to ligation.
