Well, most of the mobile TVs on buses are now very quite.
What we need from HDB is basic, clean, affordable public housing for the younger generation to start them up in bringing up a family. We don’t need elaoborate landscaping,
water features and badminton courts. The young could easily upgrade later to ECs or private housing. Why HDB is not listening to Singaporeans is anyone’s guess.
Now the young is delaying marriage, and delaying procreation, and HDB is probably
the main culprit.
Simple economics – High Prices lead to high GDP lead to mega bonuses for minster of National Development.
How else can the gov give excuse for premium HDB price when they give you the basic ?
For example:
Gov: We must differentiate HDB flat by giving some extra thing that people may not needed but yet we force them to so to charge high premium price for flat. So next time, if people ask why new flat is so damn expensive compare to equivalent, we can say we have these extra thing in the new flat, old flat don’t have. See, Singaporeans are so daft, naive and gullible, and it works every time !
Citizens: But we want just a root just to live in , no need for rubbish extra.
Gov: Cannot. You have no choice. You don’t want extra ? Fine. But you still pay the same so may as well take the extra. There is no other gov in the world that is so kind to give you the same HDB price for extra thing ! Now you should start voting for PAP ! Be grateful !

No government in this world is as smart as the miw, acquire Singaporean’s land compulsorily at “no cost or minimum cost” under the disguise of national development then, re-sell it at an “exorbitant” price to “subsidize” the good for nothing mps and ministers obscene annual-multi-million-dollar remunerations!
