That is why the homeless are being evacuated from the public parks and sent for rehabilitation elsewhere. Out of sight, out of mind.

  2. …the government here has many ‘carpets’  for all of their ill-conceived policies & regulations to sweep unsightly problems under. Especially problems that are undeniably generated by their policies, rules & and or regulations.
However, this will ensure that their days remain numbered ever fewer, past each GE.

    hi CJ,

i do believe they have their million dollar “magic carpet/s” so they can float away when the going gets tough for them…

This is why the propaganda machine, ST, has to go on overdrive.  Now you see why that article written by Ms Basu is so important (PRIME NEWS).

Are you sure Low Thia Kiang talk about this? I did not read anywhere in the papers or internet. Most of the times, I didn;t see proactive debate by the opposition in the papers. Only the PAP MPs debate vigorously.

    Please provide proof of discussion.

“With homeless citizens camped in public park” is not a universal criterior for not being first world.
Look at the first world countries, US, Japan, Britain or any advanced places, there bound to have this group of homeless people camping in public.
To achieve ZERO homeless citizen is impossible.
The way to go is to keep this to a minimum.

    Neutral,
if you are going to depend on the shitty times and mediacorps TV programmes then you will only see what the miw want you to believe is “happening”.

the quote by Mr Low Thia Kiang can be found in the copy of the speech he made on the 5th March 2010 on MND – Housing option for distressed family. Here is the link to that copy of the speech from the WP’s website http://wp.sg/2010/03/mnd-housing-option-for-distressed-family/

PAP MPs’ attendance rate in Parliament is the proof of election is coming.

SPH newspaper only publish PAP MPs’ speech , even news programmes do the same.

We can find out opposition MPs’ and NMP’s contribution by redaing Parliamnetary records, but unfortunately, 90% of us do not have time to serach for it, and PAP is the master of info control and skilled in image distortion
