LATEST – PUB Explains:
“The PUB said 100 mm of rain fell within an hour, between 8 and 9.30am. That’s the same amount of rainfall on June 16 which led to massive floods in Orchard Road. That amount is more than 60 per cent of the average rainfall for the entire month of June. PUB says the heavy rain caused localised flash floods in a number areas and the waters subsided within 30 minutes.” (CNA)
10.30am: Bugis area flooded. [Unconfirmed].
10.50am: Fallen tree along CTE towards Ang Mo Kio. Road closed.
“SCDF personnel are helping evacuate children from a childcare centre at Telok Kurau Lorong G, affected by the floods. They’re also pumping water out of the childcare centre.” (CNA)
A tree fell on a vehicle along the north-bound Central Expressway towards Yishun. Two people were injured and were sent to the hospital. Two other persons were also injured at Kampung Bahru when another tree fell. They have been sent to SGH. (CNA)

LKY: you singaporeans never clean the drain properly!! pay you so high $600 and you sleep or what??
singaporeans: then the pub officers? they never help us to maintain the underground drainage system.
LKY: it is none of your business. the pub officers got alot jobs and paper works in the office. you sinagporeans sweeper should do your job and help them do their job too. go down the drain as deep as possible if you need to at your own risk and clean it!!
singaporeans: but our pay is just $600.
LKY: what else you want? million dollars pay and stay at home enjoying life like me and my PAP travel around and have a peaceful life??
singaporeans: yes if can.
LKY: you talk some more i put you in jail!! and sue you and charge you for questioning me and asking me!!
singaporeans: ok sorry we will continue begging you.
LKY: that’s my good dog…..
@ mice is nice 27 June 2010
they will build additional boat stand below the void deck of hdb flat at singaporean cost again and SBS BOAT SERVICE in case of flood.
no worries vote for pap for a brighter future of singaporeans
the cat is dog & watermarks, on 27 June 2010,
that boat service should be free as the demand will be high (surge in demand), service standards will be low (there’s always a 1st time, excuse). rite? haa…
the public transport operators should sue which ever govt agency for negilence. not paying the rank & file staff enough & not planning a system robust enough.
debris is a very common problem, after flood then install gratings? wads next? SAF cut cost make soldiers fight with bamboo poles? navy deploy units manned by dragon boaters (chiong ah!!)?
lmao…
Be careful of what you say here. He is a lawyer by training and would sue you until you go broke and your family will break up. He has a title of MM with its agents at the top. There are so many examples shown to you in past but yet you have already forgotten. In fact, he is very addicted for arrest, sue, fine and imprisonment our native Singaporeans with the help of its agents.
why blame on authorities when it’s the cause of every individual’s actions. floods that are becoming more frequent here, don’t u think coz we dont take care and give much attention to the environment? do more harm to the environment, pay the price. don’t complain. you think the authorities are god that can control the amount of rainwater that pours on our country?
@ QA 28 July 2010
you talk rubbish. you don’t know where is the head and tail and you poke right away.
do yourself a favor don’t tell singapore this in public during GE. maybe you should try to tell singaporeans to take care singapore when they can’t fking take care themselves and old parents to meet ends need. when living cost are so high they busy working like a robots and yeah take care singapore? then goverment do what. shake legs and collect millions?
is this a worst rain? i have seen it and this is not the worst rain. it is not like rain for one whole month day and night that we blame on god. be logic and realistic. not think in the box but think outside the box like wise MM LEE said and now he got to think out of singapore.
