Jack Neo is back.
The controversial director’s new movie “The Little Star” will be screened at the church’s services in celebration of Father’s Day. The surprise announcement was made at about 11pm on Thursday on City Harvest Church’s twitter account.
In a departure from the church’s usual style, this event was first publicised via Twitter as opposed to a video announcement weeks before.
No further information has been provided about the movie, except for the following caption from a thumbnail image of the movie poster: “How far would you go to win back someone you love? This is a heartwarming tale of how a father struggles to raise his son singlehandedly. Faced with the possibility of losing his son forever, a father tries his best to reconnect by entering his son’s world.”
Also, the film appears to have been produced by Red Chilli Films, a relatively unknown film entity.
Not much has been heard from Jack Neo ever since his extra-marital affair was exposed in the media. It appears that the filmmaker, who attends City Harvest, has never quite taken a hiatus from film making.
Meanwhile, the church is undergoing a crisis of its own. More than 17 of the church members, including senior pastor Kong Hee and his wife, Ho Yeow Sun, being questioned by the police. The allegations: Misappropriation of funds and criminal breach of trust.
The results of the investigation are not yet known.

After his scandolous affair had been exposed, the CHC will be the safest place to release his new movie – so as to gauge public reaction towards himself.
Will this be a commercial “quid-pro-quo” kind of arrangement – similar to a “you-scratch-my-back-and-I will-help-you-scratch-yours” ?
How much will CHC receive for supporting Jack’s effort ?
The CHC will need to build up new funds from new sources so as to circumvent the freezing of present funds while ongoing investigations are being conducted by the CID Commercial Crime Unit.

Should this story be classified as ‘Breaking News’ material? I do no think so. The jerk does not need any sort of publicity, whether good or bad, to help him promote his works, for his works are that of a hypocrite.

Which category of church does City Harvest belongs to with JN as its prominent follower and Pastor Kong Hee as its paramount priest?
What kind of moral value does City Harvest Church cum its followers have and is embracing with?
What types of moral values are they promoting as a dominant religious organization in the Singapore?
May be, only the mighty “GOD” can enlighten all of us!

Little Star ? Tsk Tsk Tsk…..with such sleaze reputation, Jack would receive more credibility if he produces a movie named “The Little Slut”.

Unbelievable Jack Neo is still preaching in his new movie. Perhaps the cinemas have declined to screen this hipocrate’s movie, so there is no where else to go except this controversial church.
A church audience is better than no audience, it is his way to keep his name on the movie radar, else he would be forgotten entirely.
Let me guess, the movie is an incredibly sappy tale with an underlying Christian theme that the CHC audience will just lap up.

Jerk Neo is a perfect opportunist,one who knows where and who to “team up”.
He is not the first to exploit the church’s coffer.Some years ago,another “Christian” actor Chu HouRen (from the former Singapore Broadcasting Corp) used to make some ” Christian morals”films and screened them at the Church (at Dalit theatre).Of course,he was handsomely paid.Jerk Neo could have struck a “deal” with Pastor Kong Hee so that both can “Fatt Choy”together.
The PBM Jack received should be return less it becomes a mockery for such an award and thank GOD his SINS was exposed before being roped in as an MP.
The CHC has very strong materialist roots. I believe this is because they are after all a “post-Presbyterian” outfit.
And of course, from the level of noise during their worship sessions, you can tell that they have very strong Pentecostal elements as well.
The church leader does very well in fulfilling the ‘spiritual’ needs of [its] church members by preaching from the Bible.
If the CHC is under investigation for poor or improper accountability; then, blame it on the church clerks.

As a savvy businessman, Jack Neo (JN) was trying to multiply a 100X what he tithed. His sifu, Kong Hee Fatt Choy, must have given him lots of motivation in his business ventures.
But sad to say, the sifu failed miserably in imparting sex morals to JN.
Unluckily, his sex trysts with young chicks were exposed.
And so soon after his sinful acts, CHC is allowing a sex predator to “preach” morals to the young & gullible flock thru his film?
Is CHC promoting morals or is it bent on helping JN salvage his lost integrity?
Or is Con Hee trying to divert some attention from the now infamous fraud investigation by CAD?
