Without reading the full content of Mr Leong letter, I would like to share with readers that the fare transfer is also not working if you happen to board another with the same service number. Let me explain.
I had boarded service 190A (a morning service), the service will terminate opposite the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. As my destination was at Bras Basah Road, I alighted and co-incidentally a service 190 was right behind. I boarded this bus but noted that the reader show as New Fare. So I paid attention to what would be charge on my exit. To my surprise, I was charge the full fare ($0,71) instead of $0.02 for the 1 bus stop transfer.

I went to the Bras Basah station to inquire and was told that transfer fare only applies to a change of bus service.

How many of us are aware of this. There are a few commuters from the 190A service who had also boarded the 190 and how many of them are aware of this anomaly.

I am sad that the issue of congestion in MRT stations during offpeak and peak hours is not looked at by TOC and TR at the moment.

I tried to get up a train after work but the station was so packed that the commuters had to wait for many trains to come before they could board the trains. Many stations in the city area are like this. Every commuters’ faces are unhappy.

This madness must stop. The only way out is to vote them out.

time and time again, they are taking us citizens for fools. looks like they are getting too big headed.

like others above mentioned, aren’t there a database that records all transactions on each unique ez-link?

if they can just make us tap our ez-link cards to deduct value from it, is it that hard to make use of the database they already have and refund back the amount owed to one ez-link card by using the very same “Tapping” system? is it too hard of a programming task to do all that? why make is so and troublesome for everyone? wayang for fools.

- they would say can. But must buy the upgraded $20 ezlink card for this feature :) i don’t know which is worse. saying we must buy this card, or the implication that they overcharge so much that we have to buy this card.

Would it be possible to program their system to credit the refund AUTOMATICALLY to our cards when we ride or when we top up? I realized that this country’s system is to Take-And-Take a.k.a. you know what. ‘Smart brains’ that tax payers like us have paid for to study overseas really has no gratitude, what a sad society that we have paid to build… Sigh…

Have our society regressed lately? What’s happening tonour mostly highly paid scholarly ministers? The handling of the latest Mas Selamat saga, the bus over charging refund solution and even the hike of erp charges makes one wonder what really happened to our leaders?even the auntie on the street would find the refund solution such a ridiculous joke, the immense waste of resources is one, most pp would not bother to claim the few cents given that we would not likely be able to know when the overcharging happened and if we were overcharged. I wonder if it cost more than $300k to administer the refund! Why can’t the refund be given back through a discounted fares across the board for a day or so? Or other incentive bonus to reward communters ie bonus $$ for every ezlink card top up etc..

They have to tell but only to pretend to be transparent. Having told, they must offer refunds or be accused of profiteering at public expense. But see the cock-a-mania method they have cooked up for us to claim refunds. What does it say of them? It’s clear that they have no intention to pay up the ill-gotten gains!
