Sometimes I hate TOC for their moderation. This time, they are definitely on the right track. Weasels are just there to misleading everyone.

This is utter and complete nonsense.

Non-accountablility and non-performance are two of the biggest issues facing us today. Government ministers who are not performing should be removed or should resign to make way for others who can do a better job.

Likewise, CEOs who are not delivering value to their shareholders should make way for others. (Note, we are not talking about small day-to-day problems).

It is a lie perpetuated by the PAP government that there is a shortage of talent. There is no dearth of talent, if only the old ones hanging on to their offices were willing to make way and not hang on to their positions in perpetuity as ‘Senior Ministers’.

Do not believe these government mouthpieces.

Are Singaporeans really that stupid and daft like the old man claims?

We all know what the ISD is really used for — to catch and detain political opponents of the old man.

When it comes to the real terrorists like Mas Selamat, the ISD is useless.

Please tell us what your ministry had done and had not done. Easy for you to say “operational security matters”.

I actually find your level of forgiveness unusually high. Having a terrorist escape must surely be placed at the highest level of accountability, to commensurate with what the office holder has been compensated for in renumerations and benefits in kind. Take a close look at the how the policy makers are responding. Either there wasn’t any admission of accountability on their part at the early stages, or claims that the investigations have yielded satisfactory steps taken. (Not even for a million dollars, we cannot have a claim that sufficient steps have been taken and yet the outcome is not satisfactory.).

Try asking the private sector for the same level of forgiveness, given the seriousness of the issue, with a fraction of the pay and see what happens. Or ask anyone on the street if the entire episode is how talented people should have handled it.
