The decision to accept the gazette was not an easy one but the alternative would have denied Singaporeans an alternative media platform. Well chosen with my Thanks!
I was there. It was the most magical moment of my life. For once, i felt really proud to call myself a Singaporean. I salute those who voted for a better future, all for a bigger voice in a first world parliament. That day will come. We just need to be patient.The people of Aljunied and the people of Hougang deserve respect and should not be bullied.

Also thank you to all those who had voted for the Opposition Parties. Let us constantly remind ourselves that since pap cannot make us Singaporeans, lets look towards the Opposition Parties to help us get back our status and bonding as Singaporeans.
I do hope that all opposition parties should come together and work as one party: set aside all differences, and contest as one opposition party against pap. This way, we will have all the strong men from different parties coming together and we will be able to get rid of pap

I was there . I cried when i heard we had Aljunied.
A heart felt moment.

No one can change this fact now.
To all netizens who have helped post comments, I urge that we continue our efforts and grow stronger to help fight the next election which will need a new strategy given the new citizen population size.
Not many dare to bet that new citizens, especially the new ones would vote against the PAP. Giving up citizenship is not easy at all. The other most formidable opponent is the native citizens who regardless of anything will continue to vote PAP. They have continued to endorse them.
This is just the Beginning and we have a long way to go before reaching a 1st world parliament.
the instant the number was read out for WP votes, democracy was jolted alive (it’s still a 81 beating up on 6, better than 86:1)
WP has a long battle ahead, more importantly this is a momentum we need to ride on in GE2016/17… keeping aljunied isn’t enough, we need to have such an awesome “A+” team at every single GRC and SMC!
WP, now to consolidate your influence over Aljunied. It will not be easy. I hope this turns into your stronghold and PAP will never get it back.
My relatives live in Bedok-Aljunied and I was surprised to see that Aljunied is just at the edge of Tampines.
Please consider to come to Tampines and East Coast. Get Mah and Lim Swee Say out.
They are more deserving to get “retrenched” than George Yeo.

For those of us who are disappointed at the lack of opposition pentration and thinking of leaving Singapore. Don’t do it. Leaving singapore only means that PAPPY will truly win as they seek to revamp the demographics and get rid of those clamouring for an alternative voice. Stay and be part of the Gen Y which will eventually become the majority. It will no doubt be slow but I am sure we will prevail in the end.
worker’s party’s Eric Tan quits , after selecting younger member. so unfair ,why mr low didnt come out and back up his long time camrade, eric tan, this clearly show mr low will make use of anyone and then throw him away after eric tan is no use to Mr low.
