Event description: Be captivated by a stunning array of original art, design, photography works and LIVE open mic performances by young talented artists. Express your creative flair at the DIY art corner and bring home limited edition merchandise designed and sold by the artists.

Event description: Discover hidden gems in this gallery showcase of designs, illustrations, 3-D artworks, sculptures and more created by 42 Noise Singapore artists. These artists, handpicked from a pool of applicants for Noise Singapore’s The Apprenticeship Programme (TAP), were mentored by accomplished professionals from the creative industry. Renowned local photographer Chow Chee Yong and the artists are the proud curators of this inaugural showcase.

**Note: On 18 Feb, join us also as we celebrate the inaugural TAP Exhibition with a flea market and free music performances from 1pm to 7pm at Goodman Arts Centre. Food and drinks provided.

网传视频指警员针对马来群体检查 警方发文驳斥

日前谣传一段警方在碧山地铁站进行检查的视频,有网民指刻意针对马来群体,新加坡警察部队今日在脸书驳斥,此乃不负责任的无稽之谈,且可能引起族群关系紧张。 有关视频显示一队公共交通保安指挥处警员在地铁站,要对一名男子进行检查,惟该男子大声叫嚣叫警方“去检查华裔”。 警方澄清,有关视频摄于今年3月5日的碧山地铁站,而这一组警员检查的民众,大部分都是非马来族。 警方文告指公共交通保安指挥处对每个公共交通节点,进行巡逻和随机检查,以预防、制止和侦测潜在的犯罪或安安全事故。“类似检查主要确保公共交通系统维持零犯罪,并阻遏潜在犯罪动机和恐怖主义行为。” 警方也表示,去年公共交通保安指挥处警员在公交系统节点进行检查,并逮捕超过720人。被捕者大部分是因为拥有危险武器和毒品等严重罪行,又或者正被通缉。 警方也重申警员进行检查是公平的、且受过专业训练。“我们希望群众能理解有必要进行这些检查,确保通勤民众的安全,也希望民众能给予合作。” 警方严厉谴责那些留言可能引起族群间敌意的网民,并表示将依法处理。
