本社总编许渊臣日前因拒绝遵从指示撤下文章而遭总理李显龙以诽谤罪起诉,上周五(27日)已提交答辩书。 日前本社上载一篇《总理夫人何晶奇怪地分享了一篇与家人断绝关系的文章》,于9月1日被总理办公室要求无条件道歉与撤下文章遭婉拒。而本月5日收到代表总理李显龙的达文星律师楼( Davinder Singh Chambers LLC)寄来的原告诉状和法庭传票。 根据诉状针对文章内容提出异议,指内容含有不实与毫无根据的指控,有诋毁和指责总理之意。 而许渊臣最初的回应坚称,内容是复述李总理弟妹的话,并不具诽谤性质。 他表示,“我认为文章内容并不具备诽谤性质”,他还特别声明,“内容是根据可能对事件知情的总理家人此前发表的公开声明,也有鉴于涉及公共利益问题” 然而,他也对于文章可能产生的任何误解而致歉,针对不再将李总理列为遗嘱受托人一事,让人对总理被移除遗嘱执行人的时间点上,可能产生误解,惟这并非他的本意,他针对此事致歉。 而两人之间的诉讼,许渊臣将出庭自辩,他表示,“总理已通过新闻秘书向媒体表示,他愿意与弟妹出庭作证,因此也期待于法庭与总理见面。” 案件将于下月15日早上9点半举行审前会议。
马来西亚交通部昨日(29日)发文宣布,马国及新加坡两国同意,新柔捷运系统(RTS)计划在无需任何附加费用之下,将再展延一个月至10月31日才做出定夺。 我国交通部长许文远和马交长陆兆福,曾于今年5月21日宣布两国将签署新柔捷运(RTS)补充协议,将该计划展延至今年9月30日。不过,马方也因此需附上60万新元的延期费用。 据了解,本次已是大马第六次展延,在此前,该项计划早前已经五度延期,分别是展延至2018年9月份、12月份、今年2月份、3月31日,以及9月30日。延期主要原因为马方需检讨该项目的可行性和成本。 据马国媒体报道,马方认为之前协议中提到的价格过高,因为搭乘柔佛往新加坡一趟是15令吉(约5新元)。 如果两国确定终止计划,马方亦需赔偿我国6千600万新元。 新柔捷运跨越柔佛海峡连接柔佛和我国的地铁线路,旨在解决两国日常交通阻塞问题,该线长达43公里,共设31站。 马方需为该计划承担40亿令吉(约13亿3000万新元)费用,其余60巴仙费用则由我国承担。该捷运原定于2024年投入运作。除此之外,马方也需面对包括征地赔偿等费用,无形中加重该国政府的成本负担。
