网友Simon Lim: 我想指出上周有关“收受红包的火葬场工作人员,被严厉警告的事件作出评论,以下皆为我个人评论。 我国贪污调查,一向以对贪污“零容忍”原则获得美誉并闻名世界。对我们而言,贪污调查局确实恪尽职守,而他们也值得任何的赞扬与鼓励。不过,我亦希望他们能在执法时融入更多的人性与弹性。我想要强调的是,弹性并不代表与贪污妥协。 对大部分家庭而言,每当有家庭成员离开,本就会经历悲伤与痛苦。我记得当我的家庭成员离世时,我的家人与亲戚都经历了紧张、痛苦等高度的情绪消耗。我也相信这也会发生在其他的家庭中。 当葬礼结束后,家属想为一路陪同的、尽责的工作人员送上万分的感谢,所以很自然地选择赠送“红包”给低收入的火葬场员工,向他们表达内心的感恩与感谢。 我想要明确指出,任何欲向家属要求、或暗示红包之行为是绝对不能接受的,但禁止低收入的火葬场工作人员接受来自家属自愿性的“红包”也相当不可取。毕竟他们从事常人忌讳的工作,但仍专业地提供相当有效的服务,同时也兼顾那些家属的需求。 因此,我建议任何来自家属自愿性的“红包”应与每月月底平分,由火葬场工作人员平均获得。这样以来,家属的善意与感激之情在不被剥夺下,又不违反法律,同时亦能激励低收入火葬场工作人员的动力,同理家属的失去并提供更有品质的服务,成为双赢的关键。 我希望相关当局不仅仅是成为冷冰冰的机器,缺乏考虑人性与深度理解生命的意义。三思而后行! 出自网友Simon Lim,原文请看
上周六(21日)大约两千人聚集芳林公园,表达他们对环境议题的关注,吁求政府在应对气候危机上采取更有力的措施。这也是在我国首次举办的气候集会。 根据“新加坡气候集会”的脸书专页的贴文,上述活动由20余位年轻人作为核心团队,有接近50位志愿者,旨在“把负面情绪化为改变动力”,共同搭建平台,通过对话、演讲、游戏、行为艺术等,让参与者了解气候变化、表达对环境问题的忧心。 两千人的集会可说是大型活动,包括《海峡时报》等本地主流媒体也有报导,《8视界》则转载姐妹台《亚洲新闻台的》报导,简介该活动。 然而活动隔日,有读者翻遍本地最大中文报章《联合早报》,却遍寻不获有关气候集会的报导,令人感到纳闷。难道两千人集会表达环境诉求,对这个本地中文大报来说,竟没有任何新闻价值? 据了解,有关活动也有朝野政治人物、本地社运和非营利团体人士出席,包括社会及家庭发展部长兼国家发展部第二部长李智陞、义顺集选区议员黄国光、民主党秘书长徐顺全、主席淡马亚、副主席陈两裕等人。 活动上,参与者可参与写明信片给议员,质询诸如烟霾、碳税、石油能源等等议题;而最为引人关注和震撼的是,两千参与者一同参与行为艺术,如骨牌效应般倒下。倒下的集会者,象征那些因为环境公害消失的生命或物种,警示人们环境问题的伤害,无人幸免。 这项活动在21日下午3时开始至傍晚六时结束。照一般报界媒体工作常态,周六傍晚前的新闻照理隔日就可见报。但吊诡的是,当所有英语主流、网络媒体都已报导有关集会,《联合早报》却选择只字不提。 对于总理的“百年抗暖化大计”,《联合早报》可是很乐意煞费苦心大篇幅报导,诉说总理是如何地用心良苦;反观一介草民对环境问题的质疑,不够总理百年大计深谋远虑,那是不足一提的。 又或者他们听进了报界前辈吴俊刚老先生的警言,也开始提防“颜色革命”,因为周六的气候集会上人人都穿红衣,现场还有人拿着标语,环境议题诉求也可能演变成“绿色革命”,背后恐怕也像香港反修例那样,有“外国势力”操纵,所以怎能去鼓吹学生年轻人,去参与这种集会活动呢? 又或者,韩总等《联合早报》高层坐在冷气房里太久,不食人间烟火,更不知烟霾、环境公害为何物。不过,这都已不是《联合早报》第一次与公民社会诉求脱节,他们号称“公平、客观”,但对他们来说,跟着领导们的政策是最正确的,初生之犊表达的声音,他们又怎会听得进去?
新加坡前进党秘书长陈清木,邀请该党支持者和志工在下周日(29日)一同出席走访群众活动,接触基层群体宣传该党理念。 陈清木在脸书分享道,这将是该党创党以来的首个走访群众活动,许多党员和志工将到全岛各地和老百姓对话,聆听民间心声和收集意见。这也将会是该党许多新进党员和志工首次参与类似活动。 届时的集合地点将在稍后公布。 不过有鉴于霾害问题,陈清木表示该党仍会关注烟霾情况,如达到不健康水平将决定是否择日再进行活动,因此吁请支持者关注该党脸书专页的更新资讯:https://web.facebook.com/progresssingaporepartyofficial/ 前进党于17日在官方脸书,向该党支持者呼吁:“选区范围检讨委员会已成立,意味着宣战号角已想起,不久后我们就需和对手面对面。” 该党呼吁党员支持者在赢得大选的共同利益下,需要团结一致,为国家和人民服务。 该党坦言,对手可能占据优势,不过相信党内拥有来自社会各阶层的爱国志士,站在为打造更好新加坡的大义下站出来。因此,需要更多支持者在29日的走访活动一起出来襄助,主动去接触更多新加坡国民。

昨日,年轻人自发发起的新加坡气候集会(SG Climate Rally)成功在芳林公园举行,吸引近两千群众出席,旨在吁求政府在应对气候危机上采取更有力的措施。 这也是在我国首次举办的气候集会。 有别于严肃的政治诉求,这场集会也增添适合亲子互动的活动,例如介绍环境问题的流动小图书馆、人体彩绘小站、讲述森林消失问题的卡牌游戏,讲述地球的故事等等。 现场一个“写明信片给议员”的柜台颇为引人注目,参与者可以写明信片,寄给他们选区的议员,质询诸如烟霾、碳税、石油能源等等议题,这些明信片将在明日寄出。 集体行为艺术警示环境公害 活动现场由数名关注环境议题的新加坡人致词,最小的演讲者是11岁的Oliver Chua。活动进行到傍晚六点,最后主办方邀请参与者一同进行集体行为艺术,如骨牌效应般倒下。 倒下的集会者代表那些因为环境公害消失的生命或物种,警示人们环境问题的伤害,无人幸免。 询及未来的动向,主办当局称将继续维持动力以将他们的号召付诸行动,包括呼吁新加坡政府,依据跨政府气候变化委员会报考,削减我国的碳排放量,同时完全退出对污染行业的投资。 年仅20岁的发起人Annika Mock称,直到有具体的措施落实之前,他们仍希望能在演说者角落之内,或其他场合保持曝光率。目前他们仍寻求其他的后续活动来接触不同阶层的新加坡群众。 “我们或许认为自己正进行一场认真的运动,不过仍有许多工作需要去做。”
