一名本地妇女指出,她于上周五(7月10日)进行投票时,投票站扫描系统显示她“未注册”,导致她差点无法履行公民权力。惟,经过几番奔走,所幸最后还是得以成功投票,然而妇女也对选举局的敷衍态度感失望。 公民珊德丽(Chandri)指出,她上周和丈夫在马西岭油池集选区的一个投票站,她的丈夫并没有面对任何登记问题,但是轮到她时,投票站的系统上却显示“未注册”(unregistered)为选民,导致她无法投票。 就住在蔡厝港的珊德丽指出,她在新加坡出生,且有很长一段时间没有出国了,更曾经在2015年大选投票,因此不了解为什么会出现这种情况。 珊德丽上选举局的官网检查时,她的名字确实在选民名单内。更何况她还领到2020大选的投票卡。 奇怪的是,投票站工作人员当时曾帮她手动核对身份证,却没有在选民名单内找到她的名字。 珊德丽之后到邻近的警局报案,并依据建议拨电联络选举局。选举局官员指出,他们对此无能为力,并要求她电邮到选举局,避免类似情况在来届大选重演。 无计可施之下,她于当天下午1时15分电邮至选举局,之后被告知她的案件“待审定”。当媒体询问她后续情况时,珊德丽表示曾有一名男子,杰里先生(Mr.Jerry)拨电联络她,告诉她当天就可以投票了。 但是,她并没有受到选举局的回应,也没有解释事发原因。 珊德丽当天并没有放弃投票权,她在投票站和警察局来回奔走,但是就算选举局网站上有她的选民注册证明,她依然不被允许投票。 她对于选举权几乎被剥夺,而选举局“只能避免下届大选重演”的态度感到不忿,认为当局似乎没有认真看待此重要事项。 庆幸的是,在经过六个小时后,一名官员于当天下午5时抵达她家门,并让她能够无需排队直接投票。 她表示,此次的投票经验令她感到忐忑和不安。试问,若有人面对类似问题却选择保持安静,没有像珊德丽一样努力争取自己的权益,类似的问题没有被提出来,那么他们的投票权是否就这样被剥夺了?
