调查指出,许多新加坡人若在此时失去工作,目前的储蓄不足以应付半年以上的生活。 华侨银行(OCBC)于阻断措施期间,针对1000名年龄介于21岁至65岁之间的在职国人和永久公民进行调查,调查显示,他们目前的储蓄,不足以应付至少半年以上的生活。 逾半数以上的受访者表示,他们目前正经历减薪,被强制规定无薪假其或佣金收入减少。其中只有大约18巴仙的储蓄足够支付最多一个月的费用。而大约35%的受访者打算或已经从事第二份工作。 约20巴仙的受访者表示,其储蓄也因此受到影响,下降幅度高达20巴仙,而另有20巴仙的人则维持在储蓄水平。 其次,受访者也认为,退休计划也会受其影响。40至54岁的人群中,其中三分之一的人表示,必须削减退休储蓄;而20岁以上已有财务计划的人,其中23巴仙的人则认为已经为退休留了更多的资金。 除了退休和储蓄受到影响,许多投资计划也出现缩减的现象。调查发现,五分之二的受访者表示正计划缩减自身的投资;16巴仙的人则表示,将削减20巴仙以上的投资。 询及是否担心未来的前景,约55巴仙的人忧虑自己的收入和工作状况,而38巴仙的人则担心会在未来失去稳定的收入,35巴仙的人则表示将持续忧虑自己的工作状况直至今年年尾。 华侨银行财富管理新加坡部总经理陈秀丽表示,尽管在疫情当下严重打击了国人的储蓄和退休计划,但也必须相信疫情总会过去,然而令人欣慰的是,部分国人正在作出正确的选择,持续透过继续储蓄、谨慎消费和根据各项进行稳健投资,增强其财务状况。

疫情来的猝不及防,许多人受疫情影响失去工作,生活陷入困境。 在疫情期间,有民众发起自愿援助Hopes In Meals,以协助陷入困境的家庭度过难关为宗旨。近日该专页在脸书上发文,发现一名男子的心酸故事,除了要养活自己,还需要将为数不多的费用拿去照顾年事已高的母亲和生病姐姐,导致自己最后只能喝水充饥。 该名男子本是一名洗碗工,但因疫情的影响,失去了原本的工作,于是只能依靠拾荒过日子,但阻断措施下,也无法拿去售卖。 “有邻居发现他这几天面色苍白地坐在巴士站,然后这名邻居就告诉了我们他的情况”,帖文指出。 于是志愿者也慰问男子,并询问为何不以政府的现金补贴过活,一问之下,才得知原来男子将所有的补贴交给母亲和姐姐。 “我们也问他,为什么最近有政府现金补贴,但他还是没钱买食物。他说,他有个93岁的老母亲,姐姐也病了。他表示,他将所有的钱都交给姐姐以照顾年事已高的母亲,至于他也能省则省,只希望能够将钱省下来让他照顾家人。” 因此,当他表示,他在饥饿的时候,也只会以水充饥,让自己保持清醒。最后帖文也指出,这是他们决心帮助困难家庭的原因,也邀请民众加入到该计划中当义工或捐款,为贫困家庭提供餐点。 帖文一出,立即引起网民的关注,截至目前已被转发逾5千次,1千800赞。 据脸书专页指出,Hope in Meals 已经有超过2300人捐款,团体也已筹得超过9万元, 而目前是希望达到12万元。 尽管目前该计划仅在初始运作,但根据专页资料显示,该组织可能会能够尽量加大人力与资助, “每一餐的花费是3元,我们会把饭送到老人家的家门口。我们希望可以提供午餐和晚餐。我们也希望有更多的义工可以加入我们。” “在第一个月,我们需要12万元来帮助600名有需要的租屋年长人士,给他们提供两餐。”
