Paris Baguette has achieved official Halal certification from Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) for all its outlets in Singapore, marking a new phase of inclusivity for the bakery café brand.

The certification ensures that all products sold across its Singapore stores comply fully with Halal requirements, covering sourcing, handling and in-store processes.

According to a press release issued on Friday (13 Feb), this milestone reinforces the company’s commitment to serving Singapore’s multicultural community.

Paris Baguette stated that it has operated on a no-pork, no-lard basis since 2021. With the MUIS certification now secured, every outlet in Singapore will exclusively offer Halal-certified products.

The development follows the establishment of the brand’s Halal-certified Food Hub in Johor, Malaysia, which serves as its key regional production and distribution centre. The company said the Johor facility already holds Halal certification and supports compliance across its Singapore operations.

Hana Lee, Chief Executive Officer for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, described the move as a meaningful milestone.

“Singapore is a vibrant multicultural society, and going Halal underscores our brand’s core commitment to inclusivity and connection within our communities,” she said in the release.

Ms Lee added that the certification would allow more families and communities to enjoy the brand’s products with confidence, while maintaining its established standards of quality and taste.

To commemorate the achievement, Paris Baguette will introduce a new product, the K-Lava Tteokbokki Pastry Tart, from 19 February 2026. The pastry combines smoky cheese, white cheddar, chewy rice cake, Gochujang mayonnaise and buttery pastry crumble.

The launch reflects the brand’s Korean heritage and its focus on product innovation. The company described the new creation as a playful twist on its signature cheese tart, developed to celebrate the Halal milestone.

Paris Baguette first entered Singapore in 2012 and has since become known for freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and beverages. Signature items include its Best Ever Garlic Bread and Fresh Yogurt Cream Cakes, alongside sandwiches and all-day dining options.

The company said its Halal-certified status also positions it as a suitable choice for corporate events and celebrations, catering to varied dietary requirements while maintaining consistent quality standards.

Founded in 1988 in South Korea, Paris Baguette has expanded internationally since 2004. The brand now operates around 4,000 stores worldwide across markets including the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, China and Southeast Asia, according to the release.

Following the Singapore certification, the company said it plans to expand its Halal-certified footprint across Southeast Asia and explore opportunities in the Middle East. It described the strategy as part of its broader ambition to strengthen its position as a global bakery café brand.
