PAKISTAN: Surveillance footage has surfaced showing a car crashing into a food preparation area outside a restaurant in Khudadad Colony, Karachi, on Tuesday (3 Feb) leaving four workers injured.

The incident occurred at a halwa puri stall set up outside the eatery, where large pans of hot oil were in use at the time.

Hot oil spills after vehicle rams into cooking setup

According to reports, the vehicle had been parked before the driver stepped away.

A young person who remained inside the car reportedly started the vehicle, after which it moved out of control and rammed into the cooking station.

The impact caused hot oil to spill onto nearby workers, resulting in burn injuries.

Injured workers taken to hospital; two detained

The four injured employees were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police detained two individuals, including a youth, and took the vehicle into custody following the incident.
