SINGAPORE: A 24-year-old Singapore Armed Forces regular was found dead at the foot of a Housing and Development Board block in Yishun on the morning of 27 April 2026.
According to a joint statement by the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) and Police, the individual was discovered lying motionless at the scene.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic pronounced him dead shortly after arrival.
Preliminary investigations by Police indicate that foul play is not suspected.
The case has been classified as an unnatural death, with inquiries continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Local media AsiaOne reported that the incident occurred at Block 638 Yishun Street 61, where the body was found in a drain.
Mindef and the Singapore Armed Forces expressed their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
Authorities added that the SAF is providing assistance and support to the family during this period.
